Only shared a drink with family at the end of their meal but staff very accommodating and family said the food was good.

Not sure which Coachman Inn the 5- or 4-star reviewers went, definitely not as described in their review. Cheap pub grub with a mid-range price, which I think is expensive for what it's worth. The restaurant is too bright, too warm and too old. The chips tasted like it's been refried several times or fried-frozen-refried. Scampi, chicken kiev (breaded-chicken with garlic butter in the center on their menu), and "lightly-battered" haddock was really oily. Anyway, don't waste your time, money, and appetite here. We got out ask quickly as we can.

Gorgeous carvery lunch, really friendly kind landlord, let down by the waitresses who before we had finished our meal and not finished eating came to clear the plates! Also I don't approve of having dogs where food is!

Great food, friendly folk and a lovely environment! Pie, fish, desserts, all really top notch! Great!

Another wonderful Sunday lunch. Most definitely recommend the food is excellent. Thank you for the extra portion of pork crackling to take out. Lovely warm welcome and friendly staff.

Visited here for a Sunday Carvery, we were greeted by a lovely guy who showed us to the restaurant side. We were given a menu each and asked for out drinks order. Drinks arrived shortly after and then there was a wait.... quite a substantial wait considering there was only 8 items on the menu. While we were waiting, it gave us time to look around the room and check the staff interactions. One of the chefs was more interested in the football playing on his phone, which was loud enough to hear across the room. A waitress that clearly had little to no experience as she spent most of the time stood looking awkward by the door.Eventually the food order was taken, the waitress gave the chefs the heads up for two more carveries, at which point they both left the counter... couple of mins of waiting for a chef to come back (who checked the football first) then sliced up the meat (good portions) to be handed a good sized plate for the rest of the trimmings. Food was pretty good, a few tweaks I would have made but they were personal preferences. As the mains were good, we decided to order a desert. Turns out we should have left it at the mains. Looks like the items for desert are cheaply bought in, with little flavour and a strange texture on the cheesecake. Also tried the coulis on this and it tasted like nail varnish remover, it had such a strong acidic chemical taste it was revolting. We alerted the waitress who said she would mention it and find out what the coulis was. We waited... Chef was still watching football, waitress left with our deserts and returned to awkwardly stand by the door... She then refused to look at our table... so we waited a little longer.... Eventually we came to the realisation that the waitress wasn't going to return to our table. We moved back towards the bar area and spoke to one of the managers. Turns out none of the feedback was passed across. We explained how bad the cheesecake was and how it was barely eaten. We asked about the coulis and was told "it's a new raspberry one from a new supplier". I am sorry but that supplier must have been superdrug as that cannot have been a reputable food supplier. Or alternatively the food standards are that bad, what was coulis has gone off and fermented.Would definitely not return.

Had a great lunch with friends today.Staff friendly and attentive in a positive way.Food was excellent, all 5 of us enjoyed our very different meals, really good and great value.Lovely place to meet up, easy parking and disabled loo with good access.Clean and very comfortable, looking forward to a future visit, thank you.

Really nice venue, lovely helpful staff and dog friendly, had the mixed grill for one (9/10)If i had to moan about one minor thing…The toilet seat in disabled toilet had a crack in it which nipped my thigh. No issue for me as covered it with small piece of bog roll. But for sake of a max £50 seat could do with fixing.Other than that, very happy over all, will be back if in area!Cheers for the good lunch guys

We stopped at the coachman for an evening meal whilst on a short break in the area. We both had the Turkish lamb kebabs and wraps. The portions were very generous, the food tasted lovely and great presentation, absolutely worth every penny.Would also recommend the lemon and elderflower cake which is the best cake I've eaten in a long time.Staff were friendly and very efficient, can't fault the place .Will definitely return if I'm in the area.

Went here for lunch and it was absolutely fabulous. Delicious food. I had the chicken kebab with a wrap, salad and accompaniments and home made chips it was amazing. My partner had lamb chops and he loved them. Great staff and the owner was a lovely gentleman.
