Just popped in had a full English breakfast and pot of tea. Great service warm and very clean & inviting. Cakes look amazing take homemade scone home to eat later. Definitely be back can highly recommend.

I got fish and chips. Fish ok.chips very greasy all grease on plate. Rewarmed chips by look. The wife ordered roast pork dinner didn't get no mash potatoes. Waiting ages after ordering. Won't be going there again.

Soup of the day was gorgeous creamy vegetable soup. I had Haddock & Chips, whilst others had Cottage Pie, Scampi & Chips, and sea food platter. All were delighted with their choices. Highly recommended.

Has the look and feel of a country cottage tearoom, but with an up to date, wide ranging menu, with a variety of vegetarian options. Good sized portions at a reasonable price. A bonus that it is licensed too! Would go back again. My only criticism would be the 50p charge for paying by card - a bit of an outdated practice, in my opinion.

Popped in and we had a salmon and prawn salad and a simple cheese and pickle sandwich. Both were very nice.It wasn't too busy and staff were friendly and attentive.Food and drink was reasonably priced, the only downside was the 50p surcharge on the debit card payments, this really isn't needed today.Trivia: We were told that some of 'Little Voice' was filmed here!

The food was beautiful. We had the fish and chips and we left nothing. Great value for money. We recommend this place to anyone that likes Good food at reasonable prices and the service was also very good. A very tidy little place with welcoming staff.A☆☆☆☆☆☆☆

Went to the cafe for tea Tuesday night, myself and kids stopped at a guest house up the road and had seen the cafe and decided to eat there, the cafe itself is very nice and the staff very polite, however the service was shocking we ordered the food and it took an awfully long time to arrive, when it did we had our food and the server went to get some knives and forks.....again disappeared for an age till she returned with them, the food was nice not great, but not bad. The main annoyance was the fact the place wasn't even busy I'd hate to think how they manage when it is. In a nutshell average food, polite staff, terrible service

Nice food did take a little time to arrive, and I must agree with another reviewer the coffee and hot chocolate were cold. Still friendly staff and a nice little place. Nice desserts and cheese boards!!

·

A really lovely café with great service. Surroundings are elegant and the food is excellent at a very competitive price. We were so disappointed when we arrived to find it was closed in the evenings at this time of year, but is open from April. To console ourselves we returned one lunch time and were served by a lovely young lady (wearing pearl earrings and bright lipstick - she will know who she is !) and the cake with cream and tea was second to none. Thank you very much.

Seats were covered in bits of food, service slow and coffee was not very hot. Staff were polite but took too long to take our order and deliver two hot drinks. Decor plucked directly from 1980. On this warm August day it was very stuffy with no windows or doors open.I did not sample the food for which there was a decent choice. Price was very reasonable.
