The Coffee Shack in Scarborough

Great, chill vibe for brunch after a morning jaunt over from south bay. Excellent coffee - I had a black Americano (which came in a decent size of cup for the hour of day!) and very tasty Sykes House Farm sausages in a sarnie. A glass of tap water was very welcome - the coffee was an excellent strength, but on a warm day, a water chaser was just the job. Well worth a visit.

A very very busy warm Saturday afternoon in June, but the staff were very helpful and welcoming. Would definitely come back! Oh and the food was DIVINE!

Lovely food good atmosphere unusual decor but I loved the eclectic decor. Good prices not a massive menu but a good range very much enjoyed clean tidy friendly staff.

It was our anniversary breakfast, loved every bite of it.Ordered 1 Hideout breakfast (loved Doreen's black pudding the most out of all the items) n 1 Hideout Vegan breakfast (the scrambled tofu was yum) and one plate of Hot buttered crumpets it was served with raspberry jam my son just loved it. The smell of the butter was adding more value to the meal.What an ambience, our first time in Scarborough would love to visit again just only for the beach but also for the food.

Visited The Hideout this morning at 10:45 for breakfast. Absolutely delicious food! We booked online last night and I highly recommend doing so as they were having to turn people away because they were full. We always pre book to avoid disappointment.I had the vegetarian breakfast and my partner had the big breakfast and we both had cappuccinos which were also very tasty!Service was 10/10 today, they were very busy and the staff were rushing about seeing to everybody as fast as possible, very hardworking team! Thank you!

We came here for breakfast, the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodated my slight off menu request without hesitation (which was delicious). Unique and quirky decor, definitely recommend.

I advise booking in advance, I booked a few hours beforehand. We were seated almost immediately and the menus arrived within minutes. Staff were all friendly and chatty. Drinks and food order taken and the drinks arrived within a few minutes. When the food arrived shortly after that, it was pipping hot and tasted absolutely gorgeous - I had their special which was seabass and it was cooked to perfection. I will definitely be back in the near future to try some of the other dishes on offer

This cafe used to be called the Coffee Bean, what a transformation! The Hideout is without doubt one of the best eating places in Scarborough. Through its decor the owners have created a unique dining experience. Staff are lovely and very attentive. We popped in for breakfast and it was proper lush. I had the Hideout Breakfast and everything was cooked to perfection and so, so tasty (the black pudding was a thing of beauty). A proper cup of gorgeous black coffee and a glass of lovely orange juice and I was set up for the day 😋We'd highly recommend eating here 👍
