Very friendly staff, amazing home cooked food. Dogs are welcome as well, if your looking for somewhere for food around this area you can't go wrong and I recommend highly (coming from someone who is hard to please)The pictures of our food don't look as good as they did in person fyi

This is a lovely pub/restaurant full of character of bygone British celebrities…one of the areas has photos of Ken Dodd and others who would perform at Scarborough back in the day….it just makes it feel like a pub with history. Table service for drinks and food, food was delicious, I had the wild mushroom risotto, husband had a lamb shank, chocolate Brownie for dessert was superb. Would definitely visit again if in the area.

Very nice staff and the service was excellent. The food was very nice but to be honest we've had better for less money. The starter, venison scotch eggs were the star of the night but the Beef brisket was quite tough. my wife enjoyed her garlic chicken with mushroom sauce. Overall, very nice.

Saturday evening meal for four. Beautiful gastro pub with top service, lovely menu based around beautiful produce, delicious food and great drinks including cocktails. Highly recommend, it's a must visit if in the area.

Well, I have to say, that overall I wasn't impressed. My wife and I just visited for a carvery (plated). The starters were monkfish tails that my wife said were beautiful however my salt and pepper plus chili mussels were lack lustre. No seasoning and I counted 2 chili flakes. The sauce (garlic and white wine) was fine. So, when the dinners arrived, we asked for extra gravy as there wasn't a lot , which then got brought and lastly and a good 5 plus minutes later, the vegetables. Now I didn't get a pic of the veg but in a bowl was cabbage, carrots, leek and parsnip slices. These were dry, shriveled and like rubber as clearly been microwaved. Also, with the main dinner, the meat was dry and looked microwaved and the roast potatoes were anemic, rubbery and cold. We had to send it all back. Even the waitress said it looked awful. Second time round was like a different meal altogether and good. This is now my second visit where we've had to send food back. For such a prestigious place, it should get it right first time. The owners/manager needs to review what's going on. Would I return. No is the answer. There are better places out there. Disappointing as this horse has run its race.

Food very nice and portion sizes just right. Service started out well but deteriorated as the night went on.

What can I say. Excellent 👌 from start to finish. Lovely meal and staff. I would highly recommended this place.

This beautiful restaurant started out as The White Horse back in the day when my husband's grandparents owned it. Steve (another owner) won a few Bob on a horse called The Copper Horse and in celebration renamed the pub 'The Copper Horse'. It's now a very upmarket restaurant with beautiful show biz deco and fantastic menu. We'll worth a trip to Seamer to eat here!

Beef cooked perfectly - which means NOT pink in my book, instead it’s just medium so that you can actually cut it and it melts in the mouth (rather than you having to pull it to bits and it being all stringy in your mouth, which is what a lot of places do). This is an excellent roast dinner. It’s just what we needed after a glorious weekend in Scarborough. The host was excellent but I think the waiting staff just need a little bit more experience to get the fifth star, though I’m probably being stingy there. I recommend this place and will go back for sure!Oh, it’s theatre themed and there are more puppets here than you can shake a stick at, just FYI.
