The Cowshed in Scarborough

Visited the Cowshed whilst in Scarborough to see a gig. For a Thursday night they were busy, and the manager informed us that one of the servers had called in sick. The only server was the manager, who was chatting to everyone in the place, keeping cool, calm and collected. 10/10.The food then came out - without any delay - and my GOD, it was good. Juicy beef, every element of the burger seasoned, and the Mayonnaise... Oh the mayonnaise. Their own secret recipe, that if I was able to buy, I'd be needing litres of it.Great restaurant, made best by the staff and the food they serve - exactly what makes a great restaurant.

It's been nearly a month since we visited Scarborough and it's taken me nearly this long to mourn the lack of Cowshed in my boring, Bradfordian life.We called in, impromptu and it was incredibly busy. There was just the one chap serving, running around like the proverbial blue-ars*d-fly. This did NOT take away from the experience, he was a phenomenal host. Ensuring everything about the visit for not just ourselves, but everyone else in the establishment was fantastic. Well mannered, positive, an all round great guy! (GIVE THAT MAN A RAISE!)The burgers. Oh, lawd. The burgers.I have NEVER had anything as juicy, tasty and mind-blowingly amazing in and around my mouth, ever. The pizza fries are also a must.I need to go back to Scarbados, just for these burgers. 🤤

I rarely leave a review but this place definitely deserves 5 stars. The food sounded great when we ordered and it exceeded expectations. We're not from Scarborough but we will definitely be returning when we are next in the area. We were served by Joe who was the most friendly and helpful waiter we've had and the main reason for leaving a review.Great atmosphere.Cheers for a great meal.

It’s not just the food here, which by the way is amazing, it’s the staff. So friendly, helpful, accommodating, they make the place even better.Our burgers were delicious. Truffle burger was insane.Just wish we lived closer we’d be here every week!!

Nice little burger place, I had the "Blue" burger boyfriend had the "Cheese" burger and the Ballpark fries, amazing flavour, tasty patty.

Wonderful atmosphere, relaxed but certainly not sloppy. Staff are so helpful but not in your face.Our order was cheeseburger, BBQ burger, Korean fries as an extra along with onion rings.Food is fantastic, beautifully presented with the burgers being as a burger 🍔 should be, stacked, not sliding all over like an erupting volcano. The fries lovely, hot and crispy but not hard, same for the REAL onion rings, all perfect.The Korean fries are amazing if you enjoy a bit of spice, very different but tasty as in gimme more tasty.Portions, I can't imagine anyone leaving and not being full when choosing to eat here. I left wishing my eyes were in sync with my stomach but the food is so good I couldn't stop eating it.Another benefit is you can opt for take away though you do have to collect it yourself but that's a minor.My only "problem" was I opted for a soft drink, had an Arnie Palmer, totally delicious but for me far too sweet, lucky for me sparkling water is available.All in all, I highly rate this place, this was my first visit but certainly won't be my last, actually can't wait to go back to try the chicken.Many, many thanks to the lovely staff, definitely will return.Cowshed Burgers .. HIGHLY recommended you try them.

Really good, proper burgers. I think that this is the only place in Scarborough where you get the food like this.The portion of chips was very very large, I was not expecting that. Though as large as it was, it was very delicious as well. I really liked them.My friends had milkshakes and according to them they were very delicious as well.10/10 would eat here again.

Is my best favourite burger, in the lockdown we used to have takeaway, today was the first time we go out and the burgers been great. I don't have many words to describe how good they are, and the staff is very good well trained. 5stars is not enough, well done 👍
