The Golden Lion Inn in Scarborough

Lovely pub thought it was just a small room but they had a tap room plenty of irish music

It was a very pleasant & welcoming pub. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening there!😀My father loved the Irish tunes & recognised quite a few of them. The singer was very good & very friendly too.

It was ok the live band they had on was good Irish music the staff were friendly and the beer was ok could have been a little colder all in all pretty good

Great pub we use every time we visit Whitby, recently adopted an Irish theme.Not the biggest of pubs but very cosy and welcoming, open fire in the colder months.Good bar selection served by good staff.

Friendly Manager & Manageress. Beer, cider & Guinness well kept & delicious. They have Live Irish music every other Wednesday evening from 7.30pm through to last orders @ 11pm. Next one is Wednesday 11 May 2022 @ 7.30pm.

Pleasant enough local pub with a recently added Irish theme.I'm told the Guinness is good, but if you prefer cask ales there are a couple of hand pumps available which were OK when I tasted them. Friendly staff and customers and situated near the railway station.

Appreciate the place is still new, but the forced Irish theme feels tacky, false, and very out of character in a town with a unique theme of its own.At least try and serve decent Guinness that's not near freezing point.Had the place just evolved into an Irish outpost it'd probably be fine, but as it is it just feels like a cash grab.

Small Irish pub, 2 rooms with an old world Irish feel, Great Guinness on draught , Guinness that you walk further to get as its served right. No food just crisps or nuts, wide range of other beers. Lots of atmosphere try it you will like it.
