The Old Scalby Mills in Scarborough

Really friendly clean pub. Food really nice, plenty of space inside and out. Good stop off place to recharge batteries.

Enjoyed our family visit, not an extensive or particularly exciting menu, your general pub fayre, but my king prawn exceeded expectations and the fish and chips went down very well with everyone else. Light and airy bar areas, can be popular and booking recommended. If you are lucky with the weather, the views of Scarborough castle and north bay are well worth an outside seat.

Nice little pub, we only called in whilst going past on a walk so we only drank there. It was busy as it was good Friday when we visited.

Lovely location, very friendly staff, solid pub grub - not the best you’ll ever eat, but nice enough, plentiful, and well priced. No complaints and would happily return.

The Old Scalby Mills inn stands on the site of a corn mill that originated c1600, using Scalby Beck to power its waterwheel. It burnt down in 1821 & the inn that stands today was built c1840. It remains a popular hostelry on the Cleveland Way outside #Scarborough.

Great food and a warm welcome. Great views of the sea and castle. We walked all the way from Scarborough. So was ready for our lunch and drink when we got there.

Second visit in the space of 24hrs, lovely lunch, great beer and excellent service, the staff are working hard keeping everything clean and offering table service all without compromising the warm welcome (If the boss reads this, do something nice for your staff!) Well worth the visit. I'll definitely go again.
