Friendly cafe that serves a first class breakfast plus lunches and snacks. Service fro the proprietors, Malcolm and Margaret, is excellent.

Lovely service from Malcolm and Margaret. My Grandad has been a regular here for many years and they treat him like royalty! Malcom has a lovely disposition and he has a fantastic sense of humour, makes his guests feel at ease and the food is great!

Came across this little gem in Filey. Great food at a reasonable price and a warm welcome on arrival. Small and cosy and the owner kept us amused with his witty banter. Shall return.

Really friendly owner who made you feel welcome. On this occasion only had tea and coffee. Good value. Would certainly visit again if and when in Filey.

Very good quality breakfast at very reasonable price. Covid taken seriously but fun atmosphere, owner amusing friendly and accommodating. Provided local map when he realised we were visitors. Looking forward to coming back when weather warmer!

Stopped here for a pit stop on our walk from one end of the beach to the other as some little legs were getting tired. Malcolm was very welcoming and a laugh too. Margaret did great at cooking our homemade food which we all enjoyed. Would definitely recommend you try this place as we'll be going again if we're ever in the area.

We've been to The Pines a few times now when in Filey and have always found it a warm and friendly welcome, and a laugh a minute as Malcolm keeps the jokes coming. You can guarantee having a smile on your face when you've been there :) We had a breakfast there recently and it was lovely, great food and good value. Would highly recommend, thanks Jane and Jimmy

We stopped here for lunch after being on the beach all morning. As a family of three it has a great selection for children and vegetarian. We picked sandwiches, chicken nuggets and the quiche special. Both hosts were lovely and jovial. The place was very clean and service was quick. Would definitely recommend.
