The Resolution in Scarborough

Booked in on a very busy Saturday night for 6pm but we decided we would like to eat later at 8pm, the restaurant was only too happy to change our booking without complaint. On arrival we were welcomed and shown to our window seat with a lovely view of the bay, handed a small but very detailed and varied menu with starters and mains. After our drinks request were taken we were asked if we had any special dietary requirements or allergies and also made aware of the specials and dishes no longer available and alternatives. My teenage son chose the gourmet burger and I chose the loin of pork. The burger was juicy and tasty and certainly lived up to all expectations and then some, the loin of pork dish I had was melt in the mouth with an accompanying sauce that was most definitely worth another visit. The menu itself offered several fish and seafood dishes as expected at the coast along side duck, chicken and beef dishes. Most definitely something for everybody. A separate children's menu was available offering all the favourites from bangers and mash , fish fingers and chicken nuggets. Wine and cocktails available.

My partner and myself spent New Year's Eve at the The View Restaurant we had been looking forward having booked several weeks before and we was not disappointed absolutely fantastic from start to finish the owners, management and staff couldn't do enough for you and the food was out of this world it was on another level my partner had fillet steak which melted like butter and I had the duck which was cooked to perfection as it should be just slightly pink and succulent. The atmosphere was amazing everyone enjoying themselves all having good fun enjoying the entertainment and joining in definitely an evening to remember. One the best evening's we have had in a long time.

Eat here recently for a work lunch. Had the chicken skewers, which were delicious. 10/10 food and 10/10 View of the North Bay. Give it a try!!

What a restaurant. Amazing food, great customer service and really friendly staffI had the Tempura prawns to start, they were amazing, really nice combination of flavours and not overpowering. My friends had the chicken skewers and bree, they looked equally amazing!For my main dish I went with the belly pork, it came with the most amazing mash and a slice of black pudding! 10/10 - would definitely recommend!For dessert, I had a chocolate brownie (running out of words here) all I can it was special. Thank you to all staff!

The panoramic view of Scarborough’s north bay is everything you could ask for from the name of the restaurant.The menu offers a great selection, and we were not disappointed with our choice’s. The food looked and tasted fabulous.We loved the modern, fresh look of the restaurant, and the friendly and engaging staff who looked after us.Can’t wait to go back and try something else from the menu “ Thanks guys “

Food & service amazing, Very clean, excellent views of Scarborough castle & North bay.

Visited The View restaurant which has stunning views across North Bay and was not disappointed. The staff are amazing and the food was excellent which was high standard,very well presented and certainly enough of. I had the North Bay burger. Two homemade burgers with bacon,egg,cheese,gherkins and tomatoes served between a toasted bun with chips and side salad,very tasty indeed😋. I couldn't eat it all but staff are happy to place it in a takeaway box for you to take home. The entertainment for the evening was an Elvis impersonator who was also very good and had everyone singing along.Returned the next day for Sunday lunch which was also the same high standard as the night before. The roast beef was delicious and lovely and tender which was served with a large Yorkshire pudding,roast potatoes and fresh vegetables,again,was not disappointed. Will be visiting again very soon and would highly recommend. Thank you Team Delmont🙂

Visited The View restaurant with a party of 6. Including adults and children, the children were welcomed and brought colouring activities along with a excellent children's menu showing a vast variety of food. The service was very good, all staff were friendly . The Roast dinner was amazing, full of flavour and served with fantastic presentation. All meals were thoroughly enjoyed and we will definitely be visiting again . Can highly recommend this restaurant.

We went today for Sunday lunch following reading other people’s good reviews. We went expecting 5 stars but in fact we got barely 2. The service was poor and very little covid secure, dirty menus and glasses. We were not offered the wine menu even when ordering wine. When the food came the plates were cold so made the meat and mash cold. The seasonal veg in June was swede and carrots which is not seasonal. The cauliflower cheese had no cheese in it. The pie came with puff pastry and not shortcrust as stated on the menu. When asked they said they were using the ‘left overs’!! No apologies offered just ‘it’s what the chef said’. This is not a 5 star restaurant and the views are disappointing. We live and learn a they say.

The welcome as we entered the hotel was lovely, staff very attentive, the views are first rate and the whole feel of the restaurant was great, every table seemed to have a view.The food portions and flavours from the starters to deserts were 1st class and the attention to detail on every plate we viewed, was great we dined for 3 nights and enjoyed each occasion, and the breakfasts again did not disappoint, clearly fantastic ingredients which could be tasted in every mouthful.The function room was a good size with nice stage setting for our entertainment when we joined for a cabaret evening, again fantastic food.I would happily recommend the View Restaurant for any occasion and the Delmont Hotel in general if your looking for somewhere to celebrate on a bigger scale...
