First time coming here and the staff were very friendly bonus was the landlady was very sociable and chatted abit with us made us feel like we was regulars. We ordered food which arrived fairly quickly and was pleasantly surprised with the size of portions and the added extras. Food was well priced too.For any one looking for a nice pub with a friendly atmosphere go give it a try

Just enjoyed a great meal here. The staff are super friendly and the meal selection was great. I particularly appreciated the vegetarian options which are very well thought out and not at all an after thought. Will definitely be visiting again soon.

Fantastic meal (venison hotpot and veg lasagne) and the beer is as usual very very well kept. Owners/ chef are excellent hosts and great company. Lovely pub.

Very nice last minute sunday dinner after being unable to find a space at every other pub we called at. Well cooked/presented with large Yorkshire puddings. Tasted like home cooking.

Amazing meal last night, brilliant friendly service, barmaid excellent. The food was delicious I had the pie, and it was almost like a desperate Dan pie, my partner had the lamb stew. Highly recommend this place.

Just been for lunch. We're staying down at the campsite and I really can't say enough nice things about both. Huge portions of wonderful food, well kept beer and a great view of the North Yorkshire coast. I'm sure when the world opens and you can drink inside it'll be a great winter pub as well as a great spring pub. With Sandsend being a 20 minute walk away (down a giant hill) it's a great way to spend a day
