Both our cappuccinos were served as hot as lava and even after 10 minutes when it had slightly cooled to around 95 degrees, it didn't taste good at all. Some simple barista training is needed.

Staff are really friendly food is really good over all a great atmosphere thanks everyone

Can't fault this place. Looked like a snack bar, but we had the most exquisite seafood chowder - I mean seriously the best I've ever had in the UK: large prawns, cod and gnocchi with roasted lemon - honestly fantastic. The fish sandwich was excellent too, crunchy hot battered cod in a soft white roll. Staff were friendly, courteous and efficient - I'd beat a path to the door and highly recommend, a genuinely pleasant surprise. And they take contactless card payments so I guess some of the reviews are out of date. We're from Dorset, on holiday, so will probably never get there again but if you're local, or visiting, this is one to seriously support. Well done!!

What a find! Absolutely fantastic cafe with great menu choice and such friendly staff that couldn't do enough to help us! The roof terrace has a lovely view of Scarborough and the sea and has an extensive gin list. This is a must visit for great food, drink and a friendly atmosphere

There were youngsters serving who had no idea about the menu. They did not seem to know what they were doing at all. Waited ages for food and it then came out staggered. Not nice at all. Owners need to employ better staff or train the ones they have.

Lovely food and location. Service could’ve been slightly quicker, however cannot fault the food

Extensive menu and the food was nice. A few ok ales in bottles available along with the standard cooking lager types on draft. Friendly and helpful staff, cash and card accepted. They have a roof terrace which looked nice but was not in use on our visit which I couldn't quite understand as looked ideal in the sun and provided extra seating outside which would have been useful. Worth trying for a bite to eat or quick drink in the sun.

Absolutely perfect cup of tea. Very lovely staff and great service. Such a beautiful sheltered sunny spot.... could close my eyes and be in the Canaries! Very welcome mini morning break

Nice cafe quick service food was very hot. toilet is round the side outside which I believe is coded so only customers can use it. Re visited here (September 19) seems to have had a makeover and gone more up market as it’s more pricey. Got steps up to it so no good for any one disabled with chair/scooter who’s on there own

Came with my boyfriend and asked for two pots of tea as it states on the menu it’s £1.80 for a pot of tea per person but when asking the woman she asked if it was one pot of tea for two or two pots of tea for 2 so we asked for two pots, knowing that it stayed on the menu that it was one pot for one person. However, the total come to £7.20. This was clear misunderstanding which is fine, but when asking to change it to one pot which the menu lead us to think was correct, the woman made a very sarcastic comment saying she asked us three times if the order was right, which she didn’t, and we thought it was because again, that’s what we was lead to think judging by the menu. Her approach to the situation made me feel very uncomfortable as she got quite aggressive. I definitely won’t be visiting this place again as the experience with this woman behind the counter was out of order and extremely rude.
