The Tea Bar, Shuga Shak & The Galley in Scarborough

The location is spectacular - especially on a rare sunny day - however the coffee and food, not so much. The black americano was a teaspoon of instant coffee, (fortunate to include hot water). The toasted tea cake, looked like it had come straight from Morrisons. For the price we paid, I would recommend sitting at the tables, purchasing a tub of instant coffee, some baked goods from your supermarket of choice (including a packet of Lurpak and a cutlery set), bringing a flask of hot water (after purchasing from Amazon Prime), and you would still have change in your pocket for the amusements a few metres away. Disappointed does not even describe the taste experience.

Ordered 4 coffees and a milkshake. Couldn't believe it the coffee was Nescafé instant and cost £2.20 and the milkshake was just milk and chocolate flavouring no ice-cream and in a small cup. Seriously instant coffee. Such a shame as the location and views are stunning.

We've been coming to the Tea Bar in Filey since... Oh, its a long time! Such a great place. Fantastic views. Happy memories.

Lovely bacon and egg butty, loads of bacon

My go to East Coast motorcycle stop. Free motorcycle parking right in front of the Tea Bar. Bacon sandwiches are brilliant too.

Server was pretty rude, chucked a load of milk in our tea without asking if we wanted milk and said “erre yaaa” as she gave me my change. Plus tea is cheaper up the promenade at Cobles coffee so I recommend you just go there.
