Where is The Watermark Cafe?

🏠 Royal Albert Dr, Scarborough YO12 7TY

"Come along and love being by the seaside at The Watermark Café! You will find a warm welcoming cafe with panoramic views of Scarborough’s North Bay. We offer fabulous cakes and coffee with a varied menu of breakfasts, meals and sandwiches. Our sausages and eggs are free range and supplied by local farms; our own farm provides salads and vegetables; our cakes are handmade without palm oil; and we have plenty of choices for vegetarians, vegans and all the little things you may want to be free from. Many items include organic ingredients. We are also dog friendly, the North Bay is a great place for walking. We just ask for dogs to be tucked in, keep noses off tables and to take care with other customers."

Lovely breakfast, great location. Staff very friendly and efficient even when it's busy. Highly recommend

Lost the vibrancy it used to have. On our last visit nothing left only drinks . Closed at four pm but nothing after three pm not good enough. All the friendliness gone. We used to recommend it to others sorry we cannot do that anymore. We are local once told locals was important but that is not true anymore. Other people have told us the same even the food not good anymore. Think twice before going.

Nice location and outlook. Excellent cheese scone and coffee. Obliging staff. Little noisy for my liking but pleasant atmosphere. Certainly will go again. Great place to meet up with friends or go alone. Really recommend Carrot cake and pot of tea.

Such a warm welcome on a winter's day. Fantastic coffee and cakes sat by the log burner. We plan to visit Watermark every time we're in Scarborough. Thank you Watermark Café.

Absolutely disgusting!! The way a member of staff behind the till that portrayed herself as the manager was an absolute disgrace!! I was stood inside the cafe waiting to be served and a very polite young lady obviously pregnant made an order. The rude obnoxious girl behind the counter argued what the drink was and made the entire cafe feel uncomfortable! After getting her order wrong she said she will not be making another and wasting her products because the nice polite lady does not know her drinks. Disgusting isn’t the word I will also be filing a complaint with trading standards as 2 other people aswel as myself walked out disgusted! If this really is the manager god be with your business!!! Disgusting!!!

Love it here, staff are very friendly, it's extremely clean, the cakes are amazing! My grandchildren surf so on a cold day it's great to watch them from the comfort of the Watermark, with a steaming hot coffee! The breakfast is very good which we enjoyed this week! ♥️ Highly recommended 👍

Nice café with a nice sea view, lovely to sit and enjoy a coffee.

Great cafe overlooking the sea. Ate outside in the sun due to covid measures but inside also available. Food was great and staff really friendly, don't believe the negative views. They did forget my black pudding hence 4 stars. Well worth the visit, will go again in future.

The Watermark is situated right alongside the the beach at the North Sands and is very popular every day of the week, regardless of the weather. We decided to try getting a seat as we had plenty of time and managed it - just! The cafe was full to capacity and people were even sitting outside as it was sunny, albeit a bit breezy. It was worth the wait for my Ciabatta with cheese, bacon and tomato, which was delicious and very filling. We had our eyes on the wonderful array of cakes, but were so stuffed that we couldn't eat another thing. The coffee was lovely, and came with hot milk as I prefer. The staff were very efficient and working hard to serve everyone as quickly as they could. Another trip back is needed now to sample the desserts. The cafe is dog-friendly too, which is handy for visitors/residents who need refreshments straight after walking along the beach or Marine Drive. If you're not in a hurry this is a definite place to visit, but do leave yourself plenty of time.
