Tow bar in Scarborough

Me and my family visited The Tow Bar today and what an amazing place it is! Outstanding play area for the children. Food was to die for! We had the steak and ale pie with chips and I can honestly say it’s the best pie I’ve ever had! Happy hour is on 5-7pm with a pound off my drinks! We will definitely be back again without a doubt.

Lovely place. Sat outside for a drink few times last week in the sun. Food was fantastic. I had sausage and mash and my friend had a ginormous mixed grill. Definitely call again when in the area x

We visited the Tow Bar with our friends on the 04/03/22 (we are caravan owners on Cayton Bay across the road). It was the first time we had been in there, but our friends had recommended it, and so we booked a table (6).The staff were welcoming, polite and friendly and the meal we had was excellent.Thankyou all for a lovely evening, we will certainly be back.

Staff are extremely friendly. The food is amazing. Would advise to book as it is so popular

Great pub staff are so accommodating and food is amazing home cooked highly recommend if you are passing or staying in one of the local caravan parks

Visited this evening with family and friends, seated in the conservatory (McKie party) we ordered and had our meals in double quick time. Friendly staff, varied menu and first class pub food. Well done all.

Group of us visited for a few drinks and a Xmas Buffet. From entering Tow Bar staff were friendly and welcoming. Given the conservatory to be seated in with an incredible spread of food laid out for is.Credit to Nick and the kitchen team, and the waiting staff. Food was more than plentiful, superb quality and a great selection. Couldn't have asked for anything more. Cheers guys be seeing you again soon.

Visited on basis of other reviews.Nice beer, friendly staff but food For 3 out of 5 of our party was dreadful.2x Hunters Chicken - dry, stringy, massively overcooked and part of one fillet couldn't even be cut. The "melted" cheese was a solid rubbery blob and the honey BBQ sauce was almost none existent.1x chicken burger - overcooked once again. Dry, stringy, chewy.Can't recommend myself and won't be returning.
