Lovely food, friendly staff, we had different dishes and they were really good sized portions. Nice sized car park. Wonder if they would allow camper van to stay if eating in pub? Next time will ask.

We arranged to have a table for eight for our family meal on Easter Sunday. On arrival we ordered some drinks and were shown to our table. Our food was excellent and served by pleasant and helpful staff. I had the gammon which I thoroughly enjoyed, along with a pint of Timothy Taylor's Landlord. Many thanks to all the staff who looked after us. Looking forward to our next visit!

Often use this pub to catch up with the family and always delivers without fail a crackin scampi & chips. The food is delicious with great portions.Dog friendly pub that offers a lovely clean surrounding & always greeted with a warm welcome.Definitely worth a visit.

Visited for the 1st time and will not hesitate to go back! Lovely food. Fantastic customer service from the youngsters who served us. Would definitely recommend this place!

Starter was OK but the main was disgusting. I'm not sure what that meat is supposed be. I would have sent it back but the staff never came to our table. Friends had steak and it was cold. Chips were the best part. Would not recommend

Visited early evening and were very pleased to find the secret garden out back - small beer garden with benches in a walled grass area. Drink prices were reasonable. We did not eat here but people in the bar area looked like they were enjoying their meals. Bar is dog friendly.

we had three visits to ye olde forge valley Inn during our holiday at yew tree cottage west ayton the food and service was absolutely amazing and if I had to say which was best it would be a difficult decision but the Sunday roast for us was the best meal to end our holiday on would definitely recommend this place

We came for a meal mid August for our wedding anniversary. Absolutely sensational and highly recommended! We found out they also make their own pizzas for collection too - they looked amazing. So much so that we ordered two for ourselves a couple of nights later. If you’re in the area, you MUST visit.

Carvery's can be very much hit and miss at times but this place is very much in the big hit range. We phoned the day before to book a table for three with ease. On arrival covid measures were very apparent in place, confirmed our booking with one of the girls who promptly showed us to our reserved table in the little valley room. Orders for drinks were quick in being taken and delivered. We opted for the Carvery but there is also quite a large menu of choices for set meals. One large and two standards were ordered and came quick and hot. Portions were very good in terms of your meat options, the Lord of darkness asking for more roast potatoes was met with a swift extra tray being brought out. Veg was on a plate with cheese broccoli very nice by the way. Add to some discount for caravan club members on showing your membership card and this place gets a very highly recommended and a return next time we are in the area is assuredOverall, great staff, great food, great price. Just doesn't get any better than that.
