Yew Tree Cafe in Scarborough

Fabulous tea room. Very welcoming staff, who accommodated us even though most tables were booked or occupied. Food was excellent!!!

Just had Afternoon Tea at the Yew Tree, Scalby Village; and will be back! An incredibly tasty variation of classic sandwiches and home baking, perfectly presented. A beautifully maintained venue both inside and out with lovely staff. Unlimited tea and coffee as far as i could tell. All for £15per person.

Afternoon tea a treat as all homemade & incredibly fresh. At £15 each I would expect more than one cup of tea or coffee each as we were charged for another one. Lovely staff.

Disappointing experience due to building work ,workmen digging up concrete immediately outside the bay window, not only noisy but disconcerting to be breathing the dust in whilst having lunch.I thought that this type of work would be carried out when the cafe is closed, or at least close off the tables closest to that window.

After the initial shock of everyone staring as I walked in, the staff were friendly and food was decent... Nice little cafe

Wonderful continental breakfast for myself. Full English for hubby. Beautifully presented and made to order. Would recommend and will visit again

What a wonderful place! Lovely breakfasts, staff a delight and so accommodating. Great for families and vegetarian options too.We have ended up coming here most mornings on our holiday and we WILL be back every future visit!Well done to all the staff for creating a beautiful place to go. 🙏💜

Superb, placed an order for a birthday cake, collected yesterday. Came in a great box (so it didn't get spoilt in transit. Wonderful soft and light 🍋 spoge. Perfection, thanks guys (very happy wife). As commented on collection..you made me look good.....

What a wonderful place, I really don’t want to call it a cafe because that would be an injustice to the staff and owner. Extremely inviting from the outward appearance, and very well appointed inside. On our visit it was quite busy, but this is due to its popularity and excellent service. The menu is straightforward and absolutely mouth watering. We will be returning at the next possible opportunity, highly recommend a visit, book if you don’t want to be disappointed.
