Balti King in Sheffield

Tony my old pal this used to be the best curry house in Sheffield that tonight was the worst food I have had in my life it was not fit for my dogs straight in the bin is where it went don’t know what happened never again .

I ordered chicken tikka masala apna style, and got delivered a caramelised curry with chicken chunks in it. Upon asking the guy in the hotel said his is how chicken tikka is, it’s sweet and has added sweetener. I have never had a chicken tikka which is sweet. This dish is a traditional Indian dish and I have had it at lot of places in India and here at only balti king imagine eat caramelised curry. Same vegetable tikka curry was ordered with this. And both the dish were same.Me and my friend we wasted 20 pounds for which neither Uber compensated nor balti king.I don’t think ordering again from here

Beautiful place with great music, atmosphere and decor. Extremely fast service considering the group size. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Great price and great quality authentic food.Would very highly recommend.

For eating in the place was a disaster. The kitchen caters to the takeout trade. There was a pail of yoghurt sitting on an adjacent table and dirty dishes on another. We waited a long time for our food. The samosas were good but the main courses were mediocre. The rice was cold. Finally when I went to pay the waitress said she couldn't take a credit card. Signs on the door said credit cards were accepted. The waitress said that the card reader was not working. How many times have you heard that one. I'm sure she was lying because they were doing a big takeout trade

My husband loves balti king curries, so I just ordered us a takeaway for my husband’s birthday, I must admit it was one of the worst meals we’ve had, The food was cold, the Naan bread was burnt, the roti looked like it had been thrown round the kitchen, it was in shreds & hard , had to pick burned bits off the bottom, I couldn’t eat, thank god for microwave rice, I got half a container of my curry which had no sauce,, sorry Tony this was not to your usual standard,Not happy customer at all, I will be going to Akbar’s in future

I have tried to give it only half a star but it won't let me and that is only because of the food came hot as should be expected . I am not impressed with the following delivery was over 30 minutes late after the first 30 minutes I was told it would be the portions were small and over priced wasn't told that everything was paid for separately and the onion barhji were hard I could keep on as to the rest but when I called them to question about this and that the bill was unreasonable the response and attitude to me was Disgusting his excuse for it was he'd not been to school and then put the phone down. In short I will never get anything again if it was the last place on earth a complete rip off.

wow! I ordered a veg thali (for 1) which would easily have fed 3. prompt delivery, generous portions and good veggie Indian food - great!

My boyfriend and I came before our walk to the botanical gardens and were not disappointed. The atmosphere was lovely, the staff so kind and the food was delicious. Both the prices and portions were great, we weren’t disappointed.I unfortunately managed to get some curry on my white dress and was so concerned it’d stain so I asked for a wet napkin but the lady went as far as getting stain remover and helping me get rid of the stain- there is no mark whatsoever!We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the time flew by and the owner made it such a pleasant experience too. Thank you.

WOW WOW WOWPlease support this restaurant in these hard times.We normally use this restaurant but was told today they where only doing takeaways and delivery’s but as always a great meal. We where not disappoint. If you looking for great food at a great price this is the place to go.

As far as Indian food in the UK is concerned, this is one of the worst I have been to. I ordered the Chef’s special Sim Sim Balti, which was chicken pieces and lamb mince in mild sauce. The meat looked like simple processed meat chunks and the flavour.. I don’t know what I would describe it as. Rice was soggy and did not taste fresh. I would stay clear of this restaurant.
