Cubana in Sheffield

Good atmosphere at this City Centre tapas bar. The food arrived very quickly which was ideal as we wanted something in a timely fashion before heading off to nearby City Hall for a comedy night.The tapas is to be recommendedAnd we were a walk in so it may not always be necessary to book.

I love this place and was really happy to bring a friend and colleague from down South. He was impressed by the atmosphere, and live music, and being able to share our own private mini buffet (Tapas) was a really nice social way to share a meal too.The drinks here are amazing, beautiful rum cocktails.The fact that the owner is Cuban and passionate about the fare really shows... I've never been to Cuba, but I reckon this place is pretty authentic. Even if it isn't, it's way above any chain restaurant I've ever been too.

Great atmosphere! Set menus are delicious- huge portions and excellent value for money!Something a bit different, sometimes there has been live music and the cocktails are great. Really friendly staff and manage the place well even in busy periods. Fantastic restaurant!

I went here a while ago with my partner and we decided this place because of the dishes they had on their menu! I would suggest to look beforehand to see what you'd like! Some dishes are similar so see which version would be more your taste! Everything had a lot of flavour, which is always lovely! They treated us very nicely and the staff were very helpful! Definitely a recommend if you're fancying tapas! The restaurant is upstairs so don't panic if you don't see anyone downstairs when you first come into the door! (When we visited, we went upstairs to get seated and served).

The food is incredible! When I have friends visiting from out of town, I always take them here. It never disappoints. It can get a bit loud on Saturday evenings though, so avoid this time if you want a quiet chat with friends.

First time ever, went on a Thursday: All the staff were really friendly, Ruben was particularly fun and helpful all night. The atmosphere was amazing and we loved the live singing too. Also the food was amazing. Too much to talk about, but all of it was great.

Had some lovely tapas accompanied by some amazing cocktails! Lovely independent tapas restaurant, would highly recommends! Staff friendly chatty & attentive and the tapas tasted divine, freshly prepared and authentic 👌

As big fans of Tapas we decided to try Cubana's whislt visiting Sheffield for a weekend break. The restaurant is well set out if not a little to overcrowed with tables, certainly utilising maximum floor space which as understandable as that is from a business perspective it takes away from that personal space that diners/couples look for when dining out. The deor is warm and welcoming but could do with more overhead lighting as it was quite dark where we were seated.Myself and fiance' ordered 8 different Tapas dishes and a side of sourdough. The food was good, the dishes came out quick and hot and were tasty. Very little table room due to the overcrowded nature and amount of tables within the restaurant which was a little off putting.Our overall experience would have been rated marginally higher based on the food alone as it was above average, however as a dining experience as a whole it fell well short of what we would class as nice evning out. The whole experience was totally let down with the two young barmen situated about 10ft from where we were seated, who were constantly laughing very loudly, throwing things at each other from across the bar. Massively offputting for ourselves and the two diners next to us who also commented on the situation. To add to this already annoying distraction the background music was excessivley loud to the point we struggled to have a conversation.So 8 Tapas dishes, one cocktail and one glass of wine came to £77.86p, for what it is and the poor atmoshere along with mornic barstaff this is exspensive. We reglaury eat at Iberico in Nottingham and this would have been a bit cheaper, much better food and a much nicer atmosphere to dine in.This place has potential but the management/owner/owners really need to manage and control the imaturity in some of the staff members and make some alterations in what establishment they are trying to aim for... is it a restaurant where people can come and dine and enjoy there time or is it a nightclub that packs people in and serves food at the same time?

Went with the hubbie for a good child-free meal. The food was really tasty and a good variety. IPA on tap ran out whilst we were there but the manager took the time to apologise personally, which was a nice touch. Staff are very friendly and efficient, cannot fault the service at all. There was also a gentleman playing the keyboard and singing live - he was amazing and it the sound level and song choice was pitched perfectly to create a good atmosphere without being intrusive - thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, thank you.

The food was divine!! We ordered our own selection of tapas, a mixture of hot and cold all were delicious. The cocktails were good, one of the best espresso martinis I've tasted. Service was great, very friendly and efficient at the same time. Only drawback was the music was a little loud for a lunchtime.
