Edo Sushi Takeaway in Sheffield

I love this place and order sushi there all the time. Decided to try something new today by ordering the teriyaki salmon rice bowl and ended up with food poisoning. Two stars because I'll probably go back as I'm a fiend for sushi, but no more rice bowls for me 😔

I wish I could give -5 stars. We ordered £50 worth of food at a reasonable time on a Thursday evening at 8pm. It never arrived, infact Edo Sushi decided to wait until 9:31pm to cancel our order. Made us wait 1 hour and a half. Without even a phone call to explain why or an apology. Within that time we could have ordered from another sushi place had there'd been better management. If it was busy, why take another order? If it was late, then don't take orders you can't carry out. So disappointed as we have heard and seen so many good things from Edo Sushi but this delivery experience has been horrific. We were left hungry and resorted to McDonald's..

Attached photo is what 13.5£ gets you at Edo Sushi. Needless to say one of us stayed hungry. Salmon katsu was OK, not your typical katsu though.

The sushi was really good and I would strongly recommend that you stick to that.The salmon teriyaki had honey in it - far too sweet and not at all like teriyaki. And be prepared using the app on a phone is a nightmare to order. Once the sushi order was ready it was worth it though.

Best and freshest sushi in Sheffield , there's a reason these guys have been around for 10 years 🙌 thanks Edo 💕

We ordered from here a couple days ago and I cannot stop thinking about it, both of the dishes we received were excellent, beyond 5 stars, better than most restaurants I have eaten at. Worth every penny, food arrived hot, presented very nicely and in a large portion. If the economical climate was nicer I would eat here every week.

We thought we found the best sushi in Beeston and nothing can beat that but we were wrong... Beeston is really good and this place is amazing... real taste of Japan!We were so lucky to have found this place, and we drove all the way from leicester to here 3 times in 2 weeks lolThis shop is only for takeaway and they do have 2 other places close by you could eat in. We will be trying those later today and tomorrow! Can’t wait...Right now we are waiting for another order of those amazingly fresh sushi and sashimi... even the sushi rice they had the exact right sweet and vinegar taste I could eat that alone!******* update *******We waited for an hour for the food and it was superb!!!!!! We didn’t realised you can get loyalty points when booking through website or app, you get 10 points for every £1 and you get reward when you reached 500 points... so basically spend £50 get £5 for next time~ sooooo good!!!

Absolutely amazing, special mention to the Godzilla sushi role, which was heavenly. I have lived in Asia and am a sushi lover, this has been by far the best sushi I have had in UK.

Had lunch here today and I have to say that the sushi is by far some of the best I have had in Sheffield. Really fresh fish and the service was exceptional. Will definitely come back *****

Outstanding quality of the sushi and hot foot. In my opinion best place to get a sushi or authentic Japanese rice or side dishes. Highly recommend this place
