Fairway Inn in Sheffield

Food is what you expect. Does exactly what it says on the menu. Came out quick, probably too quick as we hadn't even got cutlery or condiments by the time it appeared.But i have never been in a pub that is so hot inside... and I've been in plenty of pubs.

Was really disappointed that they refused to accept the old £20 note even though it does not go out of circulation until September 2022. One of our guests had only old notes

Carvery fantastic,but can never book a table for Sunday's,all Sunday's are not available to book online,very disappointed as we have been numerous times and would like to book again,looks like Winter green again.

I booked a table for myself and my partner and all his family 20 plus of us on 30th December for his b/day at 5pm all there was on was a Carvery because of staff issues when we arrived there was hardly any of the Carvery left meats/all veg and potato’s there was not enough to feed us all plus what was left was cold they new we was all arriving as I booked the conservatory out they didn’t even make anymore food to replace what was left looked like it had been there hours safe to say I don’t think any of us will be returning anytime soon

I class the Fairway as my localGreat friendly atmospherePleasant young staff who are still learning but will gladly try their bestTip ;- Please check the tops of the sauce bottles when I enscrewed the salad cream it was covered in gunk

The place itself and staff are excellent very friendly bar staff .The carvery was very disappointing today 2 of my friends were served a bigger portion of beef than me though it was very chewy (TOUGH ) and they had large Yorkshire puddings while I was served a small one not good when we all paid the same .Portioning of meat wasn't very consistent .

I had a brilliant night out at the fairway pub last night for one of my cousin birthday party last night and the lay out of the function room was organised well with a lot of space for my family to sit at each table and the down side the San Miguel beer me and my family had was too flat to drink out at the fairway pub at Sheffield and part from that it was good Atmosphere

Good carvery, helpful staff. Reasonably priced. A nice family friendly venue.

Went for a catch up and a couple of pints. Bar staff really friendly and nothing is to much trouble for them. Had a lovely time.

Booked a table but when we arrived there wasn't any roasts left that had been offered on the menu, apart from a piece of sad looking gamon. I don't think offering chips instead of roast potatoes at a carvery is acceptable EITHER!
