I had high hopes based on some favourable reviews from some friends, but I have to say the dishes were a bit of a let-down.

This place is the best Chinese I have ever had! It’s so hard to find a decent Chinese because the quality is normally not good but this place is fantastic. Fully recommend the Double Happy! Be warned the portion sizes are huge so it would be ideal to split one meal between two.

We use Golden City for our regular weekend takeaways. We go in person rather than ordering over the phone because the wait time for delivery is always far too long and we're keen to tuck into the tasty dishes. Everything looks spotless and the staff are always pleasant and helpful. Regardless of how busy they are, I don't think I've ever waited for more than 15 minutes to get my food. Highly recommended for delicious Chinese food.

I don't normally like Chinese takeaway as the quality does not tend to be good but this place is excellent. I have been 3 times and each time the food was excellent. I especially liked the duck spring rolls. Will be visiting again

Lovely food, ordered for the first time tonight. All the food was fresh and hot. We ordered for collection and it was ready in 10 minutes. Great portion sizes and the king prawns are amazing. Highly recommended.

Just placed an order over the telephone, a really helpful and pleasant sounding guy answered. Thank you, was attentive to the order and despite having no menu to hand myself guided me gracefully through ordering!! Much appreciated, estimated wait time of around 40 mins including delivery. Always order from here, but this time the quality of the food has been terrible, chips seem like left over and refryed, sweet and sour chicken not properly cooked and seem frozen, chicken in the chow mein tough. Really disappointed the food is not edible, money down the drain!

I decided to order from Golden City because it has the full 5 star food hygiene rating. The reviews were good too. I went to collect the food. Staff were friendly.The quality of food was good, tasty, fresh, hot & plenty of it. Three of us ordered a mixture of things. I had Bean curd dishes etc I really enjoyed it. We all enjoyed the dishes.Thanks for our lovely food. We’ll be back. 👍🏻

FABULOUS! We ordered the assorted meats and mushrooms. Big pieces of beef, pork, chicken and prawns with vegetables. All in a lovely sauce. We also had the duck spring rolls, which were great. Didn't have to wait long for order to arrive either. Recomend.
