Hardy Pick in Sheffield

Whilst visiting Sheffield for a few days to see friends and family, a friend and I chose here as somewhere to have a catch-up over food - so glad we did! The staff are so welcoming and it’s so refreshing to visit somewhere with amazing value for money. Full meal and numerous drinks for less than £20 each in a clean, friendly and super hospitable environment.

Amazing place for food and drink..Good portions and value for money

I was in a party of 16 + my meal was vegetarian tikka stack. Was very good portions was right too theRest of part had various meals steaks mixed grills. All with chips suits me.we had small children withUs they were happy enough Staff pleasant helpful. It was busy but we still had enough room.weather outside was terrible rain windy and cold. Recommend Yes.

Surprisingly great pub. Went here tonight with a party of 15 and honestly, Hungry Horse pubs can be a bit hit and miss so I wasn't sure what to expect, but the Hardy Pick was really good for the following reasons:1. We ordered in 4 smaller groups on the app but all the food arrived within minutes of each other and without any mistakes in any of the meals.2. All food seemed freshly cooked rather than the usual microwaved rubbish I've received elsewhere, but still arrived pretty quickly.3. All staff were attentive without being annoying and seemed genuinely happy to help.4. Portion sizes were really impressive for the price.Overall, a really good experience here and would definitely recommend if you want nice chain pub food with good service and great value for money.

Bought two chicken burgers when we bit into the chicken it was just like hard rubber we didn't eat the burgers, didn't see any one to complain to so just left the pub.Update to responseI emailed him back like he asked. I never heard back from him so his response was just for show. we will never go back there the Sherwood pub is the place to go lovelly food and service.

Great place with very polite and friendly staff. The food was excellent well cooked, hot and very tasty thank you so much for a lovely visit and well done we will definitely be back again x

Our meals were served fairly quickly, and the portions were generous. The staff were polite, friendly and efficient. The Christmas decorations looked really festive

First visit back for a long while and we liked it. The menu and food has definitely improved! Good value food and better range on the children's menu. Couldn't get the app to work to order our meals but no big deal. Friendly staff and efficient service.

Food was lovely, fast service. Staff were polite and attentive. The place was clean & had a good atmosphere. We went for our late mums birthday and the music they were playing was just what she liked! Really enjoyed it. Will definitely be going again.

There are some good points. Firstly the service was polite and professional. Unfortunately, we were seated in the noisy t.v area. When I asked to be moved, I received a negative reason about no other quieter areas. Not only was I unhappy with the area where we were seated which was like an very large pool room, but imagine my disappointment when I found very pleasant and quieter areas when I came to need the toilet. It was a well kept disabled toilet and I would have liked to have been seated near it in the area that was most pleasant. Furthermore, the food was not good..the fish 🐟 on the 'two for £9.99' was just awful! Worst I've ever had and I'm a great fish eater. It wasn't cooked well and was hard to tear it away from the batter which was the tastiest thing in the plate. Nice seating areas outside. One of the pictures shows where we were seated..next to a load of piled up tables and chairs.
