Very good service, good food and good value for money.

This is our local pub that just seems not to care about its customers, at 10.10 last night without notice last orders where called when the bar supervisor was challenged he went on the defensive saying that the top bar was empty and only a few drinkers in the bottom bar so the manager had given him permission to shut at 10.30. When we told him that we would not return after this he did not care and said it was our choice. He then disappeared to the top bar where we could see that he was on his phone i would guess to the manager. He did not return to tell us that they had changed their mind and that they did stay open till 11 when the final bell was rung at which point is was to late for us to get any more drinks, In all the years that we have been eating and drinking in the Hare i have never seen it so badly run, no management only bar supervisors for the past 2 months and clearly an area manager that does not give a dam about the place. This pub is in the heart of our community and should be open at all times not as and when the manager wants it to be. Yes we can use the Covid card but this is beyond that. The local community deserves better.

Nice family meal before the Christmas lights were turned on. The food is what you expect for what you pay, but the staff were excellent on a busy night

Good old fashioned pub. Child and dog friendly but only 3 cask beers when I visited.

I've revised my initial review of 2 stars, which was harsh. The Hare is a decent pub with friendly service. It would be nice if it had a larger and better outdoor area, but we will be back when it reopens.

Pretty good on the whole; good value for money and wine is reasonably priced too. Staff eager to give good service and pleasant. Food is fine, with a good choice of various world cuisines laid out and served in the popular Tex-Mex manner.
