Really enjoyed my dinner. Friendly staff. We were the only occupied table in the restaurant for the duration of our meal.

Heard good things about this place even though the chef had changed recently I understand. I really enjoyed my meal and the service was really friendly and helpful. Would definitely return again and look forward to going back.

We went at a time that was fairly busy and it took a while before we got our food and some dishes were still arriving during the meal. I felt the place was fairly understaffed but the staff that were there were nice. The food was pretty good (although one dish was significantly milder than the 5 chillie rating it had on the menu and one dish had burnt onions) and the seating was confortable. The reason I gave it 3 stars was because the lighting was horrific- yes, the lighting. There were a number of INDIVIDUAL, COLOUR CHANGING lights. They all changed colours at different rates and were overly bright. This upset me as I felt it ruined the atmosphere. All in all the food was pretty good and they allowed you to bring your own beer. :)

Competent Indian restaurant. The people running this place are lovely. It’s cool you can bring your own beer.

Came here for my birthday meal with my housemates. Chose this particular Indian because it was BYOB and the menu looked very reasonable online.I had booked a table earlier that day. When we arrived, there wasn’t a table ready for us, but the restaurant was near empty so it wasn’t an issue, not a great welcome though. When seated, we were only given 2 glasses (there were 4 of us) for our beer?? Then when reading the menu, we noticed the prices were quite significantly more expensive than they were online. That was a shame because we’re students and wanted somewhere a bit more budget-friendly to celebrate. Oh well. When we finally got the waiter to come over (I emphasise we were the only people in the restaurant), we asked just for poppadoms whilst we waited for a friend who was running a bit late. We ordered a chicken chaat to share between the 4 of us, which the waiter seemed unimpressed about. It was good, but quite under-seasoned.My friend arrived and pretty much straight after she sits down, the waiter comes and tries to take our orders. Obviously, my friend isn’t ready but the waiter is really insistent and basically pushed us into ordering. Really rubbish service & we felt rushed the whole time we were there. Not an enjoyable atmosphere. The main food itself was good. We asked for the rest of our food to be boxed up, and were only given the curries back, not the rice or naan we had leftover. Why???Peculiarly, for such a rushed service when ordering, it took us ages to get the bill & pay so we could leave. We were the ONLY people eating in the restaurant the whole time we were there, so there’s absolutely no excuse. Really bad service & won’t recommend it to anyone. I only give 2* because our mains were nice.

Called here on 9/11/19 as it was a treat for my partners bday we have been before & it was very good. However a real let down this time all the meal came cold & had to be taken away it came back quickly so just been blitzed in microwave i guess everyone in the restaurant seem to have had the same problem then the bill came at full price no reduction offered for all the problems encountered then the Waiter says see you soon 🤣🤣🤣 er NO

Superb.....It’s not often I recommend an Indian, but the Indian Chef is now my restaurant of choice for Indian Food. The portion size is good and the food is tasty & well cooked. No complaints about the service either. Extensive menu too. They do operate a bring your own alcohol policy, so bear this in mind. All in all, I highly recommend this restaurant.
