Jumbo in Sheffield

I used to live across the road on City Rd from NEW JUMBO Chinese Takeaway back in 2004. Fast forward 18 years, I came back to have another Meal For One, one last time! (or may be a Dinner Box)... At least I was going to grab a few Pork Balls for the road!Number #1 buffet is dead and buried. Jumbo (the one in town) has been renamed. NEW JUMBO still stands tall and proud!When times got you down, you felt the world was against you or you even needed to line your stomach before a big night out, then New Jumbo always had you covered! They even let you swap the soup on the meal for one. Those were the best of times!Today, I rekindled some of those cherished memories!

This was the worst Chinese meal I have ever been served....the shredded beef was slimey, foul smelling, tasteless and totally inedible!The salt and pepper options had no salt or peppers and the curry sauce couldn't be called a sauce as the consistency was like water!So disappointing as we tried this place based on a recommendation.

Nicest Chinese we've had for a while! Warm food came really quickly Friday night, Fresh and lovely bits of meat, spent abit so git a little freebie which we appreciated😋😊

The food is delicious and has a good price but please can you do away with the plastic containers and Go back to foil containers which are that bit more environmentally friendly or maybe look at something biodegradable 😎

Usually I was quite happy with this takeaway, however last Friday food was terrible, dry chewy meat in 3 roast, special chef rice seems like it was done a few days ago and served by adding soy sauce, salt and pepper squids definitely done previous day as they was dry and semi warm. . My order was ready in 5 min, which only proved my suggestion.

The worse Chinese I ever eaten. The smell was horrible, taste nothing like clean food. Seriously afraid of eating this. Very disappointed

Usually quite decent food from here but tonight must have been an off night ordered sweet and sour Cantonese style chicken which was disgusting .hot and sour soup which was spot on as always but the chicken curry was like dish water it was that watery and full of onions 3 chicken pieces and a mushroom cut in half ? Tonight's sat takeaway which cost £20 went in the bin only decent thing was the free prawn crackers

I ordered the All For One, it was definitely worth what I paid for. Egg fried rice, beef and mushrooms go really well together. Plus there's a couple of extras to go with it.

Tried for first time other night and really enjoyed it their special rice was fantastic and enjoyed the barbecue spare ribs too going back for more tonight !

Ordered crispy chilli beef. Received salt and pepper crispy beef. Phoned them up and spoke to the manager and was told that they had sent my order out correctly and that I was in the wrong. Absolutely appalling customer service and it totally left me feeling disappointed. A waste of money and will never use them again
