Having followed Anthony Bourdains trail to Hoi An Vietnam for the supposed 'Best Sandwich in the World' I can only say don't bother.The pizza oven baked salami and cheese sandwich we had cooked outside for us here on a cold November day was miles better.Get thi sen darn theer

Does the best coffee, hot chocolate, bread and pizza around! In particular, the hot chocolate is special. A lot of cafes are just selling instant hot chocolate (I can make that at home), but not here, it has actual melted chocolate in. Pizza is lovely thin crust with plenty of topping, but without being soggy. Everything is served outside so the risk is lower and all done in a very friendly way.

The Flat Cap Dave special sandwich can’t be missed. The greens are delicious, the bread is so soft and the cheese is all stringy and melty. Best thing is when he toasts it in his big wood burning oven to finish it off. So delicious!

The dark chocolate and cherry pastry was one of the nicest pastries I've ever had. The almond croissant was tasty, as were the coffees.

Popped in on the way home from a dog walk and asked for a sandwich and a coffee, wasn't expecting much... unbelievable sandwich - melted blue cheese, beautiful salami with balsamic on a toasted ciabatta. Exceeded all expectations! Coffee was absolutely lovely too. Lovely staff; the owner clearly takes a huge amount of pride in what he does.

Such a little gem, always filled with locals (a good sign I reckon) who, along with the manager, welcome you in with open arms so quickly become part of the family. Where to start with the food and drinks, we'll the highlights for me are, the amazing brownies, vegetarian pastries and divine mochas! Plus they're dog friendly!

Went yesterday for the first time ,it wont be the last. From the minute we walked in we were made to feel welcome ,Dave the owner was superb ,the sandwiches he made for us were excellent we left the choice of filling up to him.The coffees were also very good ,it was obvious that all the customers that came in were regulars and made my wife and I most welcome. A real gem of a place and good value for money.

What an awesome find 6 years back. You are welcomed by the friendly team (Flatcap Dave) which is an instant warmer.He is very knowledgeable of areas of produce in Italymuch like an historian. Great coffee and abundance of Italian sourced delicacies. It's the main hub in the heart of Oakbrook road that draws people in from far and wide or across the road if your Gareth F... Friendlyvibes with the locals especially on event days. Love Prosecco Fridays..Dogs are welcome but only outside and bowl and water too. Something magical about this place.
