Generally speaking a nice and proper location, reflected by the numerous positive reviews, but…Extremely noisy (till 1am) if you find yourself exposed to the inner courtyard with bars like the „Cubana“ where partying adolescents and music keep you awake even on a Wednesday. Staff response was, to put it mildly, unprofessional and unacceptable. Heavily recommend to work on people skills and offer ear plugs on the bedside table.

Our key card wouldn't work in our room door, there was building work going on along the corridor and one of the guys offered to open our door with his master and that wouldn't work either. They immediately upgraded our room, great service throughout.Hard working and motivated staff, beautiful historic building. We had a great time

First time staying here the hotel was lovely and clean. Staff are very helpful, friendly and polite Upon arrival and before checking out. Everything was clean in the room. Pricing was very cheap. The bed was extremely comfortable we didn’t want to get out of it. Only downside is the toilet didn’t flush very well and took several attempts and the room was absolutely tiny but it was ok for a night. Even though it was a last minute booking and we wasn’t expecting much the room came with a TV, free WiFi, a mini fridge in the wardrobe with 2 bottles of water, and a kettle with a selection of teas and some coffee sachets and 2 biscuits. The bedroom also has brilliant control yourself air con and heating. Our view was of the little square of food places which was a lovely view. There was plenty of food places to choose from nearby the hotel and next to the hotel. Another downside is parking is a bit of a trek. But the parking was safe and we didn’t have to worry. Parking was paid for by the hotel at the end of the stay which is really good. Also another downside is early in the morning approx 9-9:40am the housekeeping staff are extremely loud & talking extremely loud which disrupted our sleep as we stayed in a room where there us only 1 other room inside this room. We would definitely stay again here but will definitely ask for a bigger room.

Breakfast was quite good and service at Breakfast was OK.Room was cold, a bit small and both the amount of light and noise that came in because of poor curtains/glazing meant it was a very poor night's sleep. Also no hot water in sink and average at best finishing in bathroom.Like a poor Premier Inn.

Loved the ambience and overall feel of the hotel as a former technical college. Staff were charming, room was basic, only let down by loose window handles which let in unwanted noise and fresh air. Location was perfect for the central attractions, especially the City Hall. I'd definitely use again.

We were able to check in early which was very much appreciated. Reception and Bar service was quick and helpful. We had a lower ground floor which was generous size. Could hear the rumble of trams but it wasn’t a disturbing level. Bed and bedding were very comfy and had a great sleep. Use of nearby car park ( 5 minutes walk) with discounted overnight parking was very good.

Stayed for a night. Booking direct was easy and better value than the alternatives.Good central location near restaurants. Lovely old building with character. We received a warm welcome from the helpful staff on arrival. The rooms were a good size, clean, with comfy beds, tea & coffee. The breakfast was tasty and there was no wait as we had "booked our slot" the evening before.

The hotel was lovely and the staff were very friendly. Unfortunately due to the nature of the room we had, we were right next to the square which had lots of people yelling and screaming until 3am which meant very little sleep. So I would advise if staying on a weekend to get a room nowhere near the square as it ruined our night. Finally the breakfast wasn’t very good at all, neither me nor my friend could finish it. But again the staff were absolutely lovely.

Lovely hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. The room was fine though a little cold: I couldn't get any warm air despite putting the thermostat on 30, however once in bed I was fine! Breakfast was good and fairly quick service despite the room being very busy.

Amazing is all I can say, staff friendly and helpful. Rooms are lovely and clean. Mezzanine rooms are the best with the extra cash. Location is fantastic right in the Leopold square loads of bars and restaurants nearby. Perfect base for events at the City hall. Just save your 💰 on the breakfast not worth the £10
