Room was bit dark for lunchtime, food was expensive for what it was, more like an a la carte restaurant menu than good old fashion pub grub. Friend couldn't eat the fennel as so hard, told waiter but no response back from kitchen about it. Overall average but wouldn't hurry back.

Absolute amazing country pub for Sunday dinner. The food was fantastic, generous portions too. Great atmosphere and look to the place. The staff were very polite and helpful. We will definitely be visiting again very soon!

Absolutely love this place. The food is fantastic. Love sitting in front of the open fire. Great menu would highly recommend. Check availability tho as can be full booked so always good to reserve a table.

Staff were welcoming and attentive. My companion's meal, a chicken burger looked lovely. I had the fig and blue cheese pancheta but it was very tough and I struggled to cut it. The drinks service was very good. Perhaps it was an off day. The location was clean and relaxing.

One of our party paid for a meal for 10 at The Wortley Arms last night. Firstly a massive thanks to the pub for such a generous donation which raised plenty of money for Children in Need. It was our first visit and we will definitely be returning. The food was first class as was the service and the venue.

I’ve been a regular here since 2007 and it’s still on of my top places to eat in Yorkshire. A varied and interesting menu changing regularly and alway good, the owner is front of house the staff are helpful. Meal fro two last night £65 including wine,

Been twice now. Good beefburgers on both occasions. Second time they accommodated us at very short notice on what had been a difficult day for reasons unconnected with them. Can recommend them.

Lovely food, nice decor, friendly staff. Really nice gastro pub. I had a chicken Kiev on saffron rice, with a Herby sauce and green onions on top and a coconut Panna cotta, sorbet and pineapple for dessert. Delicious!
