Wonderful customer service and the food is amazing. I had the carvery which I would highly recommend. Great portions and loads of options for vegetables, potatoes and sauces. My daughter had the smoky bacon and cheese burger, she loved it really good size and flavour. We will be coming back 100%

Sunday lunch 3.30. Had to wait for a table that came up whilst still at the bar. Joined the carvery queue that was doubled back to the girls loo. Eventually got to the front after 25 minutes but wasn't disappointed. Long queues meant fresh food and it was definitely worth the wait. The staff at Elmwood certainly warm their wages. Thank you.

Dined here last night for the first time as we travel past it when visiting my daughter and always seems to be busy. We had a mixed selection of dishes as a party of 6, carvery, vegetarian carvery, scampi and steak all of which were lovely especially the steak which was sublime. Desserts we had a mix of sundaes, hot brownie, apple pie and carrot cake. The carrot cake was disappointing as a little dry and more ginger taste than carrot but all the others were lovely. Service was good with the lady who cleared our table especially very welcoming and warm. The restrooms were a mess, only one toilet in the ladies has paper and the cleanliness could have been better but I'll put that down to a busy day and hope for better next time as we will return.

Always have a great experience at Elmwood.Staff are extremely hard working and aim to please at all times.Went last Saturday and the chef and the carvery server were brilliant when I asked about an allergy. Went above and beyond.Been numerous times to this restaurant and a young lady called Kat has always greeted myself and my family - so welcoming and hardworking nothing is too much trouble.Planning on going on Christmas day because I know it will be a lovely time.Nina Smith.

The staff were lovely and not all tables were cleaned as I saw in some reviews and I have seen for myself but I cannot blame them with such a large restaurant and minimal staff and families not cleaning up after themselves. It looked overwhelming with the customer to staff ratio however the prices were ridiculous. ÂŁ8 something for some chips with a bit of chicken chucked on top and I was brought out a cheesecake when I asked for a cookie dough but they did swap it for a brownie after being told they had no cookie dough in. They put calories on the menu which I think is a nice touch looks like the staff are very overworked. If you do enjoy your time there please leave them a tip. A good effort from staff unfortunately seems customers expect 5* quality in a family restaurant off a dual carriageway.

We had a family dinner here. The app was not working quite properly. But it was no trouble to order at the bar. There are more items on the app. Menu than on the paper menu....The main course were excellent. A very generous portion size. Well cooked. And well presented. The hunters chicken was lovely. Tender and again a generous portion. The beef and ale pie was tasty moist inside, nice pastry. The scampi was plentiful as was the salad. The deserts were.... lovely. Again there are more on the app menu. The knickerbocker glory is not on the paper menu. But it was very good. (See photo)Highly recommended. Will definitely be using this restuarant again. And recommending it to my friends. Top Mark,s.02/04/22We came again. Saturday lunch. Full carvery, lovely meal, loads of choices. A gluten free menu is available and vegetarian and vegan options.A good desert table and some fantastic cakes.Still highly recommended.

We came for a meal and some drinks after a trip to meadowhall.Poor cleanliness and Poor service. We had literally just ordered our food and we was approached by a member of staff to move seats as they needed to reserve the table. When we said we had sat here for us to be able to watch the kids in the indoor play area we was met with a very rude response of well you only have a table for 2 hours so I suggest you move to another table as the reservation would be imminently arriving. We was moved to a table next to the windows which had a awful breeze and very cold.We was in the bar for about an hour and food that had been on the floor upon our arrival had not been cleaned up.Would not recommend on the service and cleanliness

Booked a table for breakfast but had to wait a good 10 mins for someone to attend us but soon was obvious there wasn’t enough staff on.Again a long wait at the bar to get the children drinks as there was only one on.The bar.The lady in charge with a white shirt on was sarcastically rude when mentioned they seem to be struggling.Won’t be going again simply because how rude she was. Also slow at replacing fresh hot foodQuite await for empty scrambled egg dish to be replaced .. not good enough!!!Staff enjoyed taking to each other it seemed rather than attend to customers.

We were here yesterday for a party and meal, approximately 24 adults. I really enjoyed it and the staff were great. A little hiccup on the onion ring side order (not crispy) but that wasn't enough to spoil the meal which was lovely. Thank you :)

Well where do I start, had a table booked, walked in, no one to take us to the table, had to wait for member of staff to walk past.Ordered a mixture of carvery and meals, meals came, had to shout a member of staff to ask them if we need a ticket to get the carvery, she said "you can just go and get it, just show them what you've ordered on your phone", would have been nice to have been told that when we were shown to our table.Ordered deserts, but when they came because the plates hadn't been cleared my son was holding his on the edge of the table, and I was pasted mine with "just hold that"! .The chocolate sponge did not look like chocolate sponge, and when the member of staff was asked what it was he said "I don't know I was just told to bring it out"!The brownie wasn't a brownie, more like a piece of cake. The staff were more interested in talking to each other than clearing tables and making sure customers were happy, if I'm honest, after not finishing the deserts the whole evening was a let down and ended with us joking about the poor service.Won't be putting ourselves through that again.
