Old Red Lion in Sheffield

I went to the old red lion with my partner, son and daughter-in-law and grandchildren. Not forgetting Teddy the dog. We only had a few drinks but was made very welcome. You can actually take dogs inside the pub. We didn't have any food but what we saw other people eating looked very appetising. We'll be booking a table next time we visit.

We headed along for the steak and burger night, great value for money! Really enjoyed the big selection of beers - top pub in Sheffield for sure!

Everytime we eat here, the food is outstanding. Beautifully presented, good portions and great service. Had a lovely evening, had a laugh with the staff and accommodated our two pooches too. Highly recommend for food and/or a drink.

My husband and me took our friend here on Thursday 10th February as we haven’t seen her for a bit and wanted to take her to a nice pub as we’ve been here before and the food was nice. Today I was disappointed with the food for the price, portion size was small. My husband had the fish baguette, he had eaten most of it before he noticed mould on the bread. He told one of the women and she apologised and said the baguettes were fresh that day and it had come off rack in oven? Was not offered a refund. Will not be visiting here again.

Went for Sunday dinner and was very nice, good portion of meat and plenty of vegetables. Could tell it was a good place as it was very busy and plenty of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks available. Would recommend for Sunday dinner and very good price

Been to the Red lion quiet a few times . Been today with my family celebrating my mother in laws birthday Had Sunday lunch. It was boootifull. Well presented by friendly staff . Try the triple meat . No ain't Bessie's here . Will be back . Again thank you .

What a beautiful place, beautiful setting... Had my mum's funeral tea there today and it was lovely..food was amazing.. Thank you so much xx

Three of us had a roast dinner here yesterday. We all had different meats. The meals were served by polite and friendly young staff and came pretty quickly. We thought the meal was quite poor value with one slice of meat each. There was also a yorkshire pud, a ball of stuffing, 2 types of potatoes and a selection of veg. Whilst it want exactly cold, it wasn't really hot either and none of us thought it was value for money. We've eaten at Meadow farm and hadbetter food for quite a bit less. Probably won't eat here again. When David ran the pub the food was always very nice.Atmosphere is very good but if your aim is to enjoy the food, I suggest you eat elsewhere.

Wasn't the best place to go for food. The service was incredibly slow, from being taken to our table to someone coming over to take our order. I was given the wrong drink and constantly had to get up to ask for someone to come and take our order. They also hosted a pub quiz during our meal which just ruined it for me. Didn't go out for food to have someone shouting down a microphone. Portion sizes are also quite small for the price

Had a meal here today. Lovely place. Newly refurbished to a high standard. Great food..Best mushroom soup I've ever had! The bangers n mash was delicious with onion gravy & fresh vegetables. The staff topped off an excellent experience with their friendliness & efficiency. Someone recommended this place to me & I highly recommend it too. Thankyou
