Peacock in Sheffield

Really lovely, friendly staff, and brilliant meal. Gorgeous pub with comfy, relaxed atmosphere. It was dark when we went, but apparently it has amazing views, so we'll definitely be back to check it out.

We enjoyed a meal to mark an event. The food was lovely as usual and we were served by Amy who was very helpful and friendly 😊

We visited the peacock last night (12/2/22) for a family meal. We have not visited for a while and were looking forward to coming back. Firstly, the booking was made over a week ago, we were unable to book for more than 8 covers online and so we contacted on several occasions to try an book for 10. However, after several unanswered calls and messages left we just booked for 8 and turned up hoping the 2 extra kids could squeeze on the table. We highlighted this on arrival and got 'We are short staffed today' stock answer. To the food, well, if you think serving mash that's gone dry and crispy under the heat lamp, limp, grey veg with no nutritional value and a half empty pie dish (see pic) with half soggy puff pastry, I suggest you go in to serving hospital fodder! We had 3 meals taken off our bill because of the quality and the 2 star review is mostly for the interior decor and your poor serving staff who appropriately dealt with the poor food situation. Not sure we would visit again in the near future!

Disappointing Sunday roast ...not advertised as a la cart but felt like it .very small portions ,pale roast potatoes all 4 tiny pieces and dribble of gravy..excellent desserts...staff greatLeft us chatting at the table no rush to move us onThis place would be brilliant if they could crack a decent sized meal out xx

Ok it's a Chef and Brewer chain pub but it's location in summer is outstanding, the food is very nice especially the theme nights like Burns night for example. Food is reasonably priced, Staff are very good, nice selection of beers but can be a little pricey.

When we arrived at the Peacock there was one table of 4 eating and the rest of the restaurant and bar area was empty . We were informed that unless we had a booking we were unable to have a drink or food ! Really ! The chef was sat down at the bar. This is not acceptable customer service and we will be taking our custom elsewhere. What a way to run a business!

We are regular visitors to the Peacock and continue to have excellent service and good quality food. Meal portions are good and staff are attentive.Tables are well spaced and it feels comfortable to be there during these pandemic times.

There are good lunchtime and main menus. Correct pricing and quality food. Unfortunately 2 of our meals were barely warm. However, the waiter offered to reheat them and we were offered a free dessert in compensation and apology. The staff were pleasant and friendly. I will definitely return for a further visit.

Amazing food & service,We were greeted by Louise, who is very customer friendly.We had 3 courses, the garlic mushroom starter on a crumpet was fantastic.We both had a steak toasted sandwich with salad and the flavours & quality were excellent including the steak being very tender.We finished with a mini pud & drink, choosing the mini cheesecake with raspberry coulis & coffee's.We can honestly say that the customer service & food, were worth every penny we paid.Thank you Louise and the rest of the staff, we had a fantastic time and will come again.

Lovely decor, good service. Nice food although didn't all seem to have been home cooked on site. The kids pizza looked a bit like a Chicago town! Pie however was lovely!
