Pizza Express in Sheffield

I've been to this Pizza Express many times and generally it's quite nice and you know what to expect. My two latest visits however haven't been great.Back in November we visited (around 7:30pm) and initially when faced with an empty restaurant were dismissively told they weren't accepting walk-ins because they were too busy. Eventually another member of staff did let us in (after checking with the manager supposedly) but even then you could tell that they weren't happy to have us since they'd have liked to get finished and go home early...Last week I visited again and although the staff were very friendly this time, there were a couple of issues with the food. My pollo pesto was a bit burned in places (the red onion was particularly crispy) and my girlfriends calabrese was missing a crucial ingredient and was on the cold side. We did get offered a 10% discount, but it's just a shame the issues happened at all because in pizza express you're looking for a tasty bite to eat more than anything so the food has to be good...I've loved pizza express for years but choose to come less often now that St Paul's is my closest location, especially when it can't hold a candle to Piccolino and O2 priority isn't supported anymore.

I had a lovely lunch, sampling the new menu which included the new wrap and a side of mixed salad. It arrived piping hot, it looked great and tasted fantastic. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

I thought for a long time that Pizza Hut was the best I ever ate. But after visiting pizza express I completely changed my opinion. Pizza express is the best far and wide a particularly the one in Sheffield city centre. Beautiful atmosphere with excellent service. The only thing I regret is that I didn’t find our pizza express sooner. We go there regularly with my wife and daughter

My little girl had her birthday party at this Pizza Express. It was amazing value for money, well organised, fun and engaging. Amber the birthday host, couldn’t do enough for not only the children but the parents too. Thank you all so much. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

Really great service from the staff, Françesco was particularly great in helping me choose a pizza, and the staff were able to edit the base on my pizza after I realised I'd ordered the wrong one! Great food, spicy dough balls are spectacular! And the new pizza beer is great, too!

As always, Pizza Express delivered what I wanted. Hard to go wrong really.Lovely pizza, tasty doughballs.Service was excellent, food arrived promptly and restaurant not too crowded. Would and will go again. Well done.

Still giving 3 stars based on past experiences...I've never had a problem with pizza express however this visit wasn't great. No cider at all and they were out of the ale my husband chose. They were out of GF bolognese, so I changed my order to a GF American pizza and they had no pepperoni...so I quickly chose the four cheese pizza which I didn't enjoy but that was on me for not reading the toppings properly.As I said, normally a great place to eat but on this occasion it was a let down. The staff member that served us was fab throughout to say she was the bearer of bad news not once but three times!We will try again in the future!

1. Hygiene/presentation - Tables are dirty and table setup are not complete: fork is missing.2. The waitress did not ask if what size of pizza. Thick/Thin. It looks distracted and busy.3. Order took a while.4. The size of the pizza is small and the taste is bland. Not great.5. I ate different kind of risotto dishes but your new risotto is not good. The presentation is flat with a little water on the spinach. The taste is okay but not great.6. Sun-rays blinded you while eating at 6-7pm.I cannot recommend the pizza express in Sheffield area.But I can recommend the Pizza Express in London W1. They have fantastic service. Food are great, we even came back twice in a day during our visit. Reasonable prices. The pizza was very good. Chicken was good.

delicious food. However, the bald guy was not professional with me and other customers. Maybe because he was doing multitasking. I hope they increase the employees. It was obvious that there was a pressure and something not comfortable

The Pizza Express at St. Paul’s square offer the usual experience you’d expect from a chain restaurant. With a modern design and polite staff this is a nice spot to grab lunch in the centre of the city. The menu can be expensive for what you get if paying normal prices but it’s pretty easy to get an offer so check online before booking a reservation.
