Best fish and chips with warm hospitality and delicious sea food with yummy chunky chips. Fully recommend

So ok was more expensive then other places but I got a massive fish. So pleased. Also cooked to order So freshly batteted.

The most unorganised, incompetent s**tshow of a chippy i've ever been to. I was the only person in the shop, ordering just a mini fish meal and it still took over 20 minutes to get the wrong order. 5 minutes to be ignored while someone tried to change the till roll. 5 minutes for the fish to cook, 5 minutes to watch Just Eat orders then being satisfied ahead of you, then another 5 minutes of repeating my order for the 3rd time and realising after walking out of the door there were items missing, so i had to return. I then get back to work for my lunch and after unwrapping it was still wrong.Go elsewhere unless you've got a spare hour to waste to not get what you asked for...very slowly.

I ordered 2x large fish and chips, with sausages, mushy peas and gravy. I specifically asked the staff to wrap the fish separately so as to not allow them to stick together. When I got home, I unwrapped the package to find both fish in one wrapper and both literally soggy and stuck together. The batter was non existent as it was all congealed on the paper. The chips were also stone cold and the sausages also freezing cold and soggy. I literally live a 2 minute drive away, so the cold/soggyness of the food couldn’t even be attributed to the drive home. I phoned the shop to complain, only to be greeted with a very sarcastic response of “I’m sorry about that”. There was no offer to ask me to return to replace the soggy/cold meal or anything. I used to visit here regularly, atleast once a week. When you spend over £20 for 2x fish and chips for a takeaway, in what you presume to be a quality establishment, you expect a certain level of quality and service. Both of these have been a serious let down. I shall never visit here again and will instead take up recommendations to visit Two Steps Fish & Chips, on Sharrow Vale Road. I’ve got numerous friends and family in the Ecclesall area who are regulars there and who have never been disappointed by them.Note to management of Poseidon: Train your staff to listen to your customers. Customers shouldn’t be a chore to you, they are a gift. Without customers, you don’t have a business. Your aim should be to please your customers, not disappoint them. If you don’t look after your customers, someone else will. The reputation of your establishment is in your hands.

Called in on a busy Friday. The staff were friendly, Quick service ( waited approx 5 mins ) for a 4 meal order ( found an extra mushy peas in the bag when i got home, thanks for those ) food was hot, fresh & very tasty. Highly recommend.

Freshly cooked large fish ,chips to die for an served to our table ! Best in sheffield ! Savour every bite yum yum

Made my first ever visit recently. Purchased a chip butty. It was massive and very tasty. Will definitely go again and try something else, maybe even sit upstairs.

Not sure if this is the same chain as the one at Woodseats but they are no where near as good.. Did not rate the chips, but the sausage and fish was nice. Also they don't 'do' scraps - what chippy doesn't offer scraps?! It's the waste batter from fish and battered sausage don't pretend you don't have any!! Just bloody charge 50p for scraps if you are that worried that students will live off them

Haddock and chips. Delicious! The fish was large, the flesh flaked away beautifully and the batter was light and crisp and the taste was different, in a really good way, to any I'd had before. Lots of lovely well cooked chips.

AWFUL fish and chips. I don't think I've ever had a bad chippy before so I guess in a way they've achieved something. Mediocre fish and chips, covered in so much salt that you could feel how grainy it was and inedible. Batter stuck to paper. Avoid at all costs and support your local instead.
