Excellent range of Bangladeshi and Indian standards, with a superb range of chefs specials.Fast, efficient, friendly service, and tasty food.We've been coming here for 20 years, and they're still the best Indian restaurant in Sheffield (in our opinion - and we've tried loads, but keep returning to the best).

Excellent friendly service and great curries all at a reasonable price. And to top it off Cobra on draught!! What is there not to like about the Shapla? See you next time we are back in Sheffield. Dave, Hannah & Adam 👍👏👏

One of the best Indian / Bangladeshi restaurants that I have been to in a long time! Traditional, old school restaurant serving excellent food in a cozy, comfortable environment. The onion bhaji starter was the best that I have ever had, light and crispy, cooked to perfection and accompanied by salad and a delicious mint sauce. For mains I had the special chicken jalfrezi which was full of flavour accompanied with vegetable pileu rice and a plain naan bread. My partner had the chicken tikka special dhansak, which was also very good! Malik made us feel very welcome and we assured him that we would be there next time we are visiting Sheffield.

If you never tried Indian - Bangladeshi food this is a good place to start. They have a great menu and many dishes to choose from, even if you are not into spicy food or you don’t eat meat. The food taste so amazing it’s almost unbelievable. Definitely coming back.They take cash payments only but they have an ATM machine right outside.Service and facilities are right in order. Really nice experience.

Not often in Sheffield but, I found Shapla 4 years ago and the food was very good. Returned today with a colleague, we both enjoyed the food - a balti and the Shapla special jal frezi- both very very good. Our host has worked there more than 50 years, a charming man.

Excellent as always -proper curry- great staff- clean - everything is freshly cooked - ,malik the owner top man been there 41 years so knows his stuff

This curry house was incredible...Flawless and all round amazing, the staff where kind and always cared. The food was amazing too! I orded a chicken korma with chips and it tasted great. Not to mention the owner was kind. I highly recommend it for curry lovers. Its also the oldest curry house in Sheffield.

Great food and reasonably priced, very attentive service. Visited with a group of 4 all enjoyed their meals. Cash only but cash machine next to entrance of restaurant! Short walk from Sheffield station. Will visit again.

Attitude and service cannot be rated higher than 1 star. When asked if we could order some popadoms the first question asked was “how long have you been waiting “ Seriously! Then asked if we could order drinks and the waiter walked away… Asked another waiter for drinks…. Then unbelievably when we asked to order food he said “No” We actually had to ask A THIRD waiter to order food. And he still took his time to actually come to take our order. ( The restaurant was only just over half full and well staffed )When the food did eventually arrive all dishes were tasty if borderline too hot. We did get an apology at the end for the poor service. Good food but be prepared to wait for it .

We went here for my brother's birthday. There were seven people in our group. We all had poppadoms, starters and mains and all of it was delicious. The staff were great too. Top marks all round really.
