Didn't need to book, which was a bonus. Food was nice and hot, even though it took a while to arrive. We had the Sunday roast. Good sized portions and tasty, although not sure about the apple flavoured cabbage, but the rest of it was nice. Would go again.

This is the first time I've been here since before the huge refit that it undertook a few years ago. The service was great, with the staff so friendly and welcoming, the food and drink were also great too. I will not leave it so long before I return back. Thank again for a great meal and experience.

We had rump steak tonight it was amazing! Staff were also amazing & the biscoff cheesecake is amazing.

Probably a one off visit. But really enjoyed it. Nice beer , good food reasonably priced. Friendly staff. Nice pub with character.A lot to be proud about. Would definitely return here, if visiting the locality.

The main bar is as you walk in. There is a bar upstairs but the pub is not able to draw their cask beer to this bar. There is a good selection of real ale - Tim Taylor Landlord is one and it is served with plenty of condition and flavour. The beer is well looked after. The Abby has a good selection of spirits and Lagers and non-alcoholic drinks. If I lived closer I would be a regular customer. I visited the Abby after attending a funeral.

We went here today 19th August with my father in law he can't eat very much and wanted a specific meal they catered for his every need he was in a wheel chair it was so easy to get in an out brilliant an no stress. Me and my partner also had a great meal really enjoyed it only problem was they had run out of Henderson relish( I had beef an ale pie which was gorgeous) I think if you run out asda is just across the road...just sayinin😉 otherwise brill the staff are great too! Was in at around 3.30 to 5pm.x
