Freshly cooked food, piping hot. Made a change for it to be hot, most places the food is lukewarm by the time it gets to the table! This was definitely a pleasant surprise.

Went for a funeral wake, the pub was closed to the general public for the afternoon. Nice cosy little pub, the staff were all friendly and respectful. The catering they provided was varied, tasty and plentful

First time I've been in this lunch time after fishing nearby.Not easy to find as it's on a one way system but well worth the effort. Nice layout with seperate areas for food and drink which is nice.Good selection of draft ales and other drinks.Friendly service and car park as well.

Ì arrived early,12.25 approx, there was only one other person in the bar,quiet I would suggest.However, the barmaid Jenny made me most welcome, other patrons came in and were welcomed in a similar manner.The pub is decorated in a tasteful manner, and has a relaxed atmosphere, I cannot comment on the food, but I am told that it is very good.I believe the pub is on the market for the sale of the tenancy, please draw your own conclusions.I must add that it is very well worth a visit, if not only for the friendly staff.
