Wanted somewhere to eat for 6 at the last minute. Went here after Googling places to eat local to where we were.... Good food...was quite busy too.

Good food, great staff, very helpful in all areas and does good vegan food

An example of a pub getting everything right. Friendly, chatty staff, magnificent beer, great vibes, clean and attractive pub.We were lucky to visit on an evening where we were given free food tasters. All of it was beautiful.And Timothy Taylor for £3 a pint?!!I wish this was my local.

Had a great Sunday dinner, very relaxed atmosphere and lovely food.Really nice pub.

Not been for a while thought we would try again. Behind the bar reminds me of a creche, nothing wrong with having young hardworking people but all very young and couldn't care less about anything other than their phones or chatting. Had to ask twice for sauces. Clearly no good management just let them do what they like if that is what they are happy paying them for fine but we won't be returning unless there are changes made! Get some better staff!! Cheap isn't always good

Really good food .. The ale was very nice and it looks lovely inside. Can't wait until the lockdown is over and have a good look around. We really enjoyed it outside today with the great views.

It's ok for drinks, but forget the food, although the presentation looks good the food unfortunatly wasn't. Prawn Cocktail with the smallest prawns and quantity I have ever seen, not worth £5.95. 1 giant lettuce leaf, catapilla eaten with red, green peppers and onion! Beef was really tough, everything else tasted as though it was frozen foods. However Landlord very nice and welcoming.

A beautifully finished country pub at the top of stannington. Locally known as 'top house', this delightful pub has recently been renovated and offers a good selection of ales and lagers. The food on offer was very tasty too, if a little pricey.
