The Grind Cafe in Sheffield

Thoroughly enjoyed my "The Grind' full English breakfast here, a cheerful high quality café in Sheffield's Kelham Island quarter. All ingredients seemed of good quality, nicely cooked, tasty and served by friendly, cheerful staff. The homemade sweet potato hash brown was a highlight as deliciously different and the Crawshaws pork sausages very nice too. While prices aren't cheep, given the quality I think good value. Happy to recommend!

fresh good quality food,, nice chilled out atmosphere. took about 45 minutes from ordering to receive food but was well worth it. in a regeneration area with a hipster vibenote: only need one coffee since they are very strong,, also come early cos by 10am all tables are full :)

Visited for breakfast today and was blown away. The ingredients and flavours were fresh and tasty. The coffee was perfect and the all of the staff were friendly, charming and funny. Thanks for having us! We’ll be back again on our next visit to Sheffield.

Easy 5 stars, best café in Sheffield! Unique styling and menu! Absolutely delicious fresh food, incredible coffee, one of the best I've tasted! Wonderful friendly staff, always welcoming us with a smile and providing a friendly atmosphere. We stayed in Sheffield for 3 days and after the first coffee just kept coming back! Thank you all at the grind!

Always have had excellent and varied, home-made food including vegan options, over the 5 or more years of our occasional visits. Pre-COVID you had to go up and order at the counter. Not a big ask as the greatest distance was less than 5 yards! However, staff now come all the way to the tables to take the orders.

Lovely little cafe - always very busy and popular. The sausage rolls are incredible and the salads all delicious. Looking forward to trying it in the evening soon.

The Grind Cafe is consistently great. With a specials menu that is updated frequently and is always delicious, a broad selection of teas and coffees (including a specials drink menu), a large selection of cakes and treats, a diverse and tasty lunch/deli offering, and plenty of vegetarian options, I would highly recommend a visit.

Finally myself and my wife have found a cafe where we can have "a" breakfast. We have gone to a few places in Sheffield and never felt so happy to have a brunch. We South Indians feel that we have the perfect breakfast in the world. So it's hard to satisfy us with just a croissant and a coffee. It had to be a baconnaise with BLT and a simple hash with less salted ham (which wasn't greasy btw). Well thought-out dishes and friendly staff. We'll be going to this place often and update more here on our experiences.

My favorite cafe in Sheffield. Lovely and (usually) buzzing atmosphere. Very friendly staff.Food is just amazing: it's healthy and delicious. I really like how inventive and unique the flavors are. Always enjoy a light meal there.This is a place for meeting friends and having a lovely chat more than for sitting down to read a book with a cup of coffee.
