The Nursery Tavern in Sheffield

What a pub! All staff are absolutely amazing, especially the handsome, charming and small barman call Chris Leather. He always has that cheeky smile on his face whilst pouring a pint, which makes me feel at home. One time I fell up the stairs to the beer garden and Chris kindly gave me a warm cuddle as I was getting up, and made sure I was okay. I’ve never been so happy ;). All round great boozer 10/10!!!

One crisp winter evening I stumbled across the nursery tavern and was welcomed into the warm pub by a tall, curly haired, colossus of a man by the name of Steve. He was so kind and extreeeemley witty. His charming behaviour and seductive winks made me blush throughout the whole night. One of the best nights of my life. Thank you Steve

Warm and welcoming establishment in the heart of Ecclesall road. It's a great place to go with friends and the staff are always up for a chat. Ciaron on the bar has a vast knowledge of the drinks supplied and is always happy to choose the right drink for you!

After a long hard day at work I went into The Nursery Tavern and was served an exquisite pint of Carling from a lovely gentlemen named Keir. He was very friendly and we had a good laugh about our receding hair lines. Lovely atmosphere and great prices.

5*!! Great vibes, cheap drinks and outstanding service. Special shout out to Steve, speedy service with a smile, think he’s eligible to work behind the bar at The Ritz with his skill set!

Very good experience, could do with a few more ciders on tap but the staff more than made up for this. Ciaron was a particularly good barman and made the visit a very enjoyable experience.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS - BETTER VENUES VERY CLOSE BY. Never in my life have I asked for my *wallet* to be searched on the door and I've traveled the world. If spiking is such a problem in your hovel of a venue then the council should shut you down immediately. Bouncers were discriminately picking and choosing who they searched the wallets of with older male relatives of mine being let in without a second look. Called to report their illegal discriminatory practices and was ignored. Never go here unless you enjoy your basic civil liberties being infriged upon. I'm sure the "manager" will leave an arrogant response to this but frankly if your venue has this much of a problem with spiking CLOSE YOUR DOORS FOR GOOD.

Really nice cool pub with lots of youngsters. There was a very pleasant bar tender named Steven mahogany - he was very welcoming.

Had a great time at the tav as always ! Will definitely be returning. Received great service from ‘milky’ on the bar, he was extremely friendly and provided service with a big smile 😃 great prices and amazing food.

Cheap prices, decent food, and good social space especially for students. However, I had my wallet thoroughly checked before I entered. Never have I ever had someone other than myself go through my stuff without justifying or even asking to do so. Why was neither of these things given?! Such a lack of customer service…
