Dined on a half price offer but it would still have been good value at full price. Nice old pub. Nice food. Good prices.

Afternoon lunch.Unfortunately we didn't get the experience as other reviewers.Walked in and no smiles from the bar lady so we're tempted to walk out but thought she might warm up to us but unfortunately not.Asked the young waitress where we could sit, she was friendly and told us we could sit anywhere.Ordered food and drink using the QR which was easy.Starters were nice, but mains were quite dry and gammon undercooked and the wedge of pineapple!!! It looked like the chef didn't know how to cook and serve this dish so half eaten gammon was left and I'm sure the pineapple wedge was used as a door stopper. At no point did any staff ask how our meal was?Poor customer service as well as the main dishes let us down.Would we go again..I'm afraid not.

The setting is amazing the pub also. The staff also amazing .Very helpful . We have been twice for Sunday dinner . But too be honest it wasnt great. Potatoes were cold and the veg definitely came out of the freezer. Also no cauliflower cheese. Very disappointing. ..

Average chain pub, food very basic & again, typical of a no frills franchise. No care or love put into it. Staff polite but uninterested in being there or going the extra mile... All in all, forgettable

We like going here when we don't want to spend a fortune but want cosy surroundings. Our last visit was good. The burgers were delicious and we enjoyed the Christmas decorations and open fire. The only disappointment was the mulled wine. It was almost cold and had very little flavour. Needed more mulling! 😊
