Ordered chicken black bean sauce, crispy noodles and chicken chow mien. Got two chicken chow mien but paid £7.50 for one and £9.00 for the other. Phoned and spoke to the manager who said it’s not his fault.. ?? Wow.. really good customer service..

Possible the best Chinese I’ve had in the UK this is a fabulous authentic Schezuhan restaurant. Yes, there are lots of unusual dishes of bits of animals we wouldn’t usually eat, but there were loads that were more accessible for western pallets. Everything was freshly cooked and flavourful and came piping hot. Portions are massive and therefore the restaurant is excellent value. We highly recommend the salt and pepper pork (wonderfully crispy), the green beans with chilli and pork, the duck and winter melon (1st time for us to eat winter melon- the duck was very tender) and sweetcorn and pine nuts (simple dish and a nice contrast to other stronger flavours), and the steamed dumplings. We will definitely be back and with a large group so we can try more dishes.

I was absolutely blown away by the food, without a doubt the best Chinese food I have eaten. I can't wait to go back.Plus to top it off they had a dragon dance which was an incredible spectacle, and something that will stick in my mind for a very long time.

Pretty decent place, feels like an authentic atmosphere, has reasonable prices, very good quality food. But it was empty unfortunately. Difficult to see. They deserve alot more footfall for sure.

Visited 6 Chinese restaurants and this is among the best in terms of taste. Minimum amount of salts and oil applied and yet the food is delicious. Service can be improved. That vege serve with prawns is excellent. Worth visiting!

Friendly staff, Kelvin gave advice on menu choices to help us. Food was lovely and plentiful, and we took away our left overs in boxes. A bit more expensive than we expected, however, would definitely recommend China Red.

I went to China Red with a friend of mine for a taste of the Asian cuisine in Sheffield. There was an immediate judging from me due to how the outside looked and the graffiti however you should not judge how it looked. We went in to a beautiful restaurant with such polite staff. I experienced great quality of service from a small friendly restaurant environment. The chopsticks were authentic and not the cheap wooden ones. The lady from yesterday offered an amazing service and recommended me a beautiful beef dish. The flavours from the food came bursting out. The beef was mouth watering, the meat was tender. I will 100% be coming back again and the food was very affordable. We ended up buying 2 mains, 2 sides and 2 drinks for a cool £28.50, this was buying the more expensive meals on offer and yet for this quality of food was a great bang for your buck. I was expecting to pay £40-50 and so I had to leave a tip for the overall service.3 ways id describe the food would be authentic, mouth-watering and high quality. Thank you for the service China Red I will be here again 100%.
