We’ve been going to Thyme Cafe for years and it NEVER disappoints. There’s something for everyone on their ever-changing seasonal chalkboard menu, that’s full of specials as well as firm favourites such as the prawn and chilli spaghetti and best sticky toffee pudding. Whether it’s date night or taking our parents out for our annual New Year’s Eve meal, the chilled atmosphere and lovely food is always spot on. There’s even a delicious kids menu that’s full of ‘proper’ food, rather than the usual beige grub other places stick on the kids menu. Our kids have been enjoying it since they were old enough woof it down! They were so accommodating too, when I accidentally ordered something I didn’t like. Amazing service. Brill place 👌🌟👏.

Walked into a delightful decor and a lovely hubbub of noise during a busy lunch. Our server was fantastic, friendly and efficient. The food was great, a massive menu cooked by a swift team in the kitchen, all presented beautifully. The beer lines were so clean a pint of lager tasted like a holiday. Will be returning!

Nice place and vibe. Nice staff. For Sunday dinners if you had no dietary requirements I can imagine it to be rather good. However there is limited to No dairy free options. And the veggie Sunday roast Is not the best I’ve had but not the worst. But the nut roast was covered in a tomato sauce, which i thought would be a great soup but simple NOT an alternative for gravy. but NO VEGGIE GRAVY!!!??(Madness)

This is a small independent business that serves excellent food and can always be relied upon to please. The menu is varied and as we went on a Sunday, they also do Sunday roast. There were 4 specials as well as an extensive range of food on the menu. Everything fro a bacon sandwich, or piece of cake, to chorizo covered cod loin with samphire potatoes and a prawn chowder. All three of us chose differently and we all thoroughly enjoyed the food. The service is friendly and efficient and this place takes alot to be beaten. We definitely recommend 👌 👍

Been going here for years and always enjoyed it. However went a couple of Sundays ago and the Sunday dinner was really disappointing. All veg rock hard meat fatty. Very underwhelming! It will probably come back but not for the roast.

Lovely food and staff, group of 7, some had 2 course deal and didn't realise that they needed to know we wanted courses delivered separately so we got both at the same time

Excellent quality food and atmosphere. Unfortunately I chose the 3 meat Sunday roast which proved too much for me so I gave quite a lot away. However, no complaints the food was great.

My new favourite restaurant. Friendly atmosphere and the staff are lovely. I had Risotto with Red Pepper and Feta and then the Lime and Passion fruit Cheesecake that was divine. Little pricey, but the food and service is worth it. Next time I go, I'm definitely trying the Tiger Prawn spaghetti. It's in easy walk of the 52, 120 and 30 bus routes.

It had been a good experience until I got my main course.I had the prawn pasta which seems to lack any salt whatsoever - unlike any pasta I’ve had before both in the UK and in Italy - and when I politely pointed this out to the waiter, she flat out refused to acknowledge the issue. She said that this dish is not meant to be salty, and that the salt would have covered the garlic chilli favour - this is an absurd thing to say given the dish is supposed to be savoury and salt is a flavouring agent not a competing flavour. Not to mention the pasta did not taste like under salted but NONE salted.I would have given a more positive review had it just been a mistake in the kitchen and the waiting staff didn’t come off as defensive and unprofessional.Ham hock Bellatine and halloumi fries are delicious tbf. The pork belly starter was overly salty, though has very good flavour otherwise.

11 of us went here for a family celebration and amongst us we had some special dietary needs i.e. gluten intolerant, vegetarian, a seafood allergy. They had a varied menu that offered options to accommodate the dietary needs. The portions were large and inviting and whilst it was not cheap, it was value for money. I have added a few photos of the three meat Sunday lunch, the salmon etc that we were actually served up so you can judge for yourselves.
