Shocking service and foodVery poor, booked a table at 7.45pm through the website. We were looking forward to a nice meal and some drinks, soon as we entered we were told to just sit anywhere. Granted it was very quiet, creating a cold atmosphere, but if the staff were friendly maybe that would help. When ordering drinks at the bar, the bar lady stated the kitchen shuts in 10 mins, and with a grin said we won't rush you, but we might! Why take a booking at 7.45pm if we can't sit and have a pleasant meal. Things then did not get better, within 5 mins we had to order and within another 10mins our food was served. Burnt fish, crushed chips and something that represented mushy peas. The pie was microwaved to perfection with meat welded to the pastry casing. The waitress did ask if we were ok, but left before we could give a proper answer. From there we were left, no would you like a dessert and our meal was done within less than 30mins. It was like being at a fast food restaurant but triple the price.Angered we just wanted out, and it look like friends were at the bar. I have since complained with no response so far.We then went to a neighbouring pub and spend our money there.Sad really as I have been when other staff have been attentive and nice. This has really put me off and I won't be going back anytime soon.

Really nice food, a small menu but a selection for all tastes, vegetarian scampi highly recommended by my son .Beers were good with locally brewed beers on offer, staff were very pleasant and knowledgeable about menu availability. Food was relatively priced considering the quality but some may find it expensive.I will go again and review at a later date.

Great food and great service.Had a table for 13 and everything was managed perfectly. Food was excellent, well cooked and delish, trio of beef with roast veg finished off with a sticky toffee pudding, what more could you ask for. Kids menu was perfect for little ones. We don't live local but look forward to returning next time we are visiting family in Sheffield

Very good would recommend.Visited NYD evening. We were looked after from start to finish brilliantly. We were group of 6 plus baby. The gentleman who was hosting didn't hesitate in setting us up a table in a quieter section of the pub.Service was excellent throughout. The food was very good, everyone enjoyed it.Thank you to the staff who served us. Tough times with many pubs/restaurants short staffed or closed, on this occasion all the staff were brilliant.Happy New Year.It won't be our only visit this year.Thank you.

Vegan food is ok but the vegan scampi is so off-putting.Zilch flavour, seasoning, or anything, the coating is very good though. Other vegan grub is ok.Fries excellent, drinks expensive but ok.

Nice food, limited menu, service could be better. Decor very nice. After 9m was quite drafty, felt like the back doors had been left open once the kitchen had concluded business. Not conducive to sitting and enjoying a drink. I had to put my coat on

Visited this pub for the first time for food and drinks, staff are pleasant and the pub is clean. The reason for the three stars is due to the quality of food i received, I had the buttermilk chicken burger which was not up to standard, chicken was very thin, slightly over done and the bread cake was from a Warburtons pack of 12 for a pound which if you've ever been to a BBQ you know how bad they fall apart.

Went for a Sunday Roast, good service, good food. Not necessarily the cheapest place but is good value for money. Left feeling full. It has Vegan Sunday Roast options which is rare. Right next to a lovely park for a stroll too which is great.

Love this pub.. part of the Brew Co, True North chain.. open at half nine (a.m.) pop in for a bacon roll and a breakfast pint🍺😁 the bacon is fab!! They just recently had an extension done, edges into the park.. looks ace!! All the usuals... great team , cracking beer, sound grub, cannot fault it 👍👍.
