Food was very basic, I had bean chilli, it was nice but something I cook at home. Cost £15, though quite expensive for what it was. . My husband had beef chilli. He said it was ok. Staff were very nice. It was clean and nicely decorated.

What a lovely welcoming country pub 3 big open fires , great Sunday lunch dog friendly, and a really lovely landlady who made us feel very very welcome . We stayed over night in our camper van in the mustard pot carpark and asked the landlady if they serve breakfast to which she said yes, we came back into the pub for 9.30am and had a lovely full English, there was apple and cranberry juice on the side , cereals and hot coffee , we shall definitely be coming back. We had a great time.Lisa and vinny

Honestly. The atmosphere was nice, drinks okay priced I guess.Had a saucy cow pie? Quite dissappointed. It Came out looking like a microwaved pie from tescos.Sauce was very salty, the meat was nice though. So there’s that I guess. Not the best pub I’ve been to, also not the worse.

Deleted my previous bad review because it is now under different ownership. We came here today and we ordered the large nachos starter, and it is also good to see more vegetarian options pictured on the menu since we last came. The place is dog friendly but we chose to sit outside with our dog due to the business of the pub today. Nachos were great, definitely recommend. Bardzo dobrze!Edit: Came back again yesterday with my friend. Got the same thing again, marvellous!

Food was nice but not enough of it for the price. For £17 of pasta I expect to be at least full. The serving staff were just not on it either. No one ever came to ask us if we wanted dessert or the bill so eventually we just paid at the bar and went home for some cake. Won't be rushing back.

Fantastic food for adults and kids alike. The staff were amazingly friendly and the atmosphere, helped especially by a lovely log fire, was excellent. We went for a lovely walk around the reservoir afterwards to round it off

Despite them taking a booking and the person who took it didn't log it, we turned up and the staff were brilliant. They accommodated us. The food was good and staff very attentive. Beef was a little tough for me, but value wise it was worth it.

We had phoned ahead and was greeted nicely on entry, shown to table and order taken. The staff were really nice warm and friendly.I had the liver and onions, partner had the saucy cow pie. Everything appeared to be cooked from fresh. Really good selection of vegetables and well cooked. Really good mash with the liver, and quality chunky chips with the pie. The pie was full of rich meaty filling. A minor hiccup with the pie pastry which needed a bit more give or a serated knife to cut it open. This is certainly on my places to revisit.

Nice pub, with a good choice of food at good prices. The staff make it here, they are fantastic, very friendly! Sunday lunch, could do with a look at improving the roast potatoes and a bit of crackling with the roast pork would have made this 4 star. Would certainly go back.
