1610 Steak Restaurant in Wakefield

Our 2nd visit. Only 3 stars due to incessant boom boom boom loud music and we were the only ones in on 2nd visit. First visit was quiet and lovelyMeals lovely, service very good but why the half hour cycle boom boom monotonous music tapeSeems the owner wants this sort of atmosphere, why?Suffice to say we won't be calling again even with the fantastic menu and steaks

What a shame had great expectations from a recommendation. Had to send drink back 3 times as it tasted like soda water ended up asking for a jug of water that tasted like bath water warm no ice. Food was okay but just okay got the chateaubriand sharer £60 steak was tasty hence 2 stars but that was it beef dripping gravy was like water chips hard and overall left hungry. Definitely not worth the money or the visit. (If you read the review properly it says food was okay hence 2 stars judt not filling or worth the money ,we left a full drink on the table the member of staff tasted the drink and agreed it wasn't nice.) This was our return visit after we originally went a few weeks ago. Quite a let down second time around - I got the "nibble" Sourdough bread which had a charcoal taste which I wasn't expecting.. my partner really enjoyed his Scallops.I got full rack of BBQ ribs for main which weren't good, far too much sauce, which was more spicy than it was BBQ, so you could barely taste the actual meat.My partner got Ribeye, which was cooked well enough but the quality of meat didn't marry up to the first visit. They also forgot his side salad - which isn't ideal. We fed this back to the waitress but no idea if this was passed onto the kitchen.The restaurant was quite cold as the front door didn't close properly and let a draft in.Bit of a shame really as we thought that we had finally found a local independent stakehouse, alas.

Amazing lunch we had the share platter Sunday lunch for 2 and I can't say one bad word about any of it. The creamy cabbage was to die for the 3 meats tender and juicy we had a little wait for our food but didn't mind as they were very busy and it was all well worth the wait,1dt visit to this restaurant but certainly not our last, all the staff were lovely friendly and welcoming see you again soon and thanks for the best Sunday lunch ever!

Visited here today after winning a competition. The Sunday dinner was absolutely delicious including the pudding! Service was great, staff were very friendly. Would definitely recommend and will be visiting again!

What a great place to eat. We shared 2 starters of rib fingers. The meat simply dropped off the bone and the bbq hickory sauce was delish. We also had truffle Mac & cheese bon bons. Omg if I could have had a plate of those for main I would have. They were amazing. Then flat iron steak was so tender. We had cocktails which were nice and the staff were very attentive and friendly. Well done to the young lady who's first shift it was. Nobody would of ever guessed. Was one of the best restaurant meals I've had. Will defi be back very soon

It wasn’t great! 45 mins to even get a drink, we chased them up in the end! in total we were there nearly 3 hours! Absolutely shocking service! But all we got from one waitress was that it wasn’t her fault as she was working downstairs and left us to wait even longer, When another girl came to the table we asked where our food was she replied its on the pass waiting to go out but it’s definitely there! Clearly the customer service needs work on.What a joke when it did arrive it was cooked incorrectly and all the side dishes were cold.I asked for a well done steak it came out rare the chips were cold and the Mac and cheese was disgusting.I get it was super busy but if you can’t take the work load don’t book that many people in, as I heard quite a few people round us complaining around us.Won’t be coming here again👎

Booked in for Christmas eve eve with my family after hearing good things about the Cut. We weren't disappointed! The food was amazing and excellent value with the 20% off early bird offer. The only problem was my Fiances steak was a little underdone for her liking but this was quickly sorted and a complimentary drink was well received so we can't complain. Would love to go back in the future for more great steaks.

The welcome was warm and friendly, this was our first time there for a date night. The manager said we wouldn't be disappointed and certainly wasn't. The starters were so delicious, the mini yorkshire puddings were so light and fluffy the beef melted in your mouth. The calamari was cooked to perfection and loved the lemon flavour within the batter. The main course of Chateaubriand sharing steak was to die for. Cooked medium rare and it was the nicest steak we have had, the sides and sauces complinlmented the steak beautifully. All in all 10/10 from start to finish. Compliments to the kitchen team for cooking gorgoeus food and compliments to FOH team for delivering excellent customer service. We will certainly be back again.

The food was amazing the staff were really lovely they were very attentive and caring.They also had a very good diagram of a cow and where each part of the meat comes from within the cow
