Excellent value for money and quality was outstanding. The young lady who served us was very pleasant and efficient, the only regret was that the pub card machine wasn't set up to allow a "tip" to be added, which I would like to have done. Will return!

A lovely and very welcoming, homely and friendly pub and restaurant. Food was lovely. Well worth a visit if you fancy a cosy evening.

More of a food than drinking pub, although there is some seating for drinkers only. Neck Oil on tap, which is great. Service a little slow and the bar was unstaffed at times, so we went for a second drink elsewhere

Visited with family for Sunday carvery. Staff were great & food was amazing proper home cooked Sunday dinner. Prices were also good. 1 thing I will say we were the 1st there and the flooring could have been hoovered from night before other than that thank you

Visited today with my wife we took of the advantage of the 50% deal the food was well presented and fresh .The chicken platter even at full price would be such good value for money, even the simple meal of scampi was well cooked whole tail in a nice crispy coating served nice hot chips mushy peas and tartar sauce presented well on the plate. l felt the chef takes a lot of pride in his or her food. I wish the team at The British Oak every success

Thank-you to lovely staff and clientele we had a lovely visit. Being a newish owner of a young puppy we were happy to sit outside. We were welcomed inside as the weather turned and had a great meal (whilst people in the nearby area made both us and our pup welcome).The food was delicious and reasonably priced with good portions. Rump steak salad and gammon steak. Will definitely return. Thanks for making us feel so welcome 😘

It was really quite when we called in for a meal.Only me ,hubby and another couple.We waited roughly 50 mins for our meal which was disappointing. Used to love this place a few years back.But it's changed hands a couple of time since and the atmosphere is just not there anymore. Maybe it might be busier on a weekend, we called on a Thursday. Inside though is lovely and clean nicely decorated.
