Fox and Hounds in Wakefield

Wonderful!! From the first contact helping to make a potentially difficult day for us all into a memorial experience! All staff were great both on the phone and in person. They coped brilliantly with last minute changes to numbers and tweaks to our orders. I couldn’t be more pleased!! The food was great too!! Thank you to all your team!

Amazing service from start to finish.They managed to squeeze me and my family into a busy mother's day schedule on short notice.When we arrived we were greeted by such lovely staff who looked after us throughout our meal.From providing us with an alternate high chair for our little baby and offering to warm up my wife's starter after she had to look after our daughter, to making sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our lunch. Absolutely amazing food and great value. We will definitely be going back there.

Nice beers and live music on the Saturday night when visited. Needs a revamp and might have marked it higher had my Chicken Italienne been not so really tough and was a little more 'Italian ' ie had a tasty tomato sauce and was wrapped in parma ham in place of sliced British ham! It was on the menu as Chefs Special so should have been freshly cooked and 'special' but unfortunately was neither.

Visited a few weeks ago for Sunday lunch with family. The place Is lovely and we all enjoyed our meals though they Did make a few mistakes with them. The bad bit came when we received the bill and found that we had been charged nearly £30 for drinks we did not have. The waitress took them straight off the bill when we pointed this out to her with no arguments. So please please you make sure that you check your bill

Lovely pub, really spacious and clean! Really friendly bar staff and lovely food. Been coming here more and more and it's lovely to walk around the lake and then drop in for a drink and a cake.

Excellent, called in last Sunday afternoon for dinner with my wife and daughter, who was looking after a friends dog. Although we couldn't go in the restaurant with the dog. A table was found for us to sit at in another room. The food was lovely along with the hospitality, would definitely call again.

Just called for my birthday. This is a lovely cosy pub with a wonderful atmosphere and excellent staff and service. The steak and ale pie is fantastic, with generous portions, too. Well worth a visit if you're passing through, or after a walk around Newmillerdam. Top pub.

Booked for Sunday lunch. Had 2 courses which were good value for money, very well presented meals. Staff are lovely. Would go again.
