Excellent fish and chips, chips crispy on the outside and not at all greasy. Fish batter crisp and tasty around a fresh piece of cod. Peas a bit runny. Overall, still worth 5 stars. Only 10 mins from the M1, I make a detour when passing, and recommend that to all.

A little thing that means a lot to me I have a delicate stomach so for years after fish and chips I had bad stomachs because of the layer of fat. I don't know if the fryer drains them more at George a green but I never have a bad stomach after eating from here. Nice fish and chips too Thank you

Superb fish n chips with incredibly tasting batter which is dark golden and crispy proper old skool style,cracking portion of chips and the peas beans n curry are all great quality,good banter from behind the counter vert funny guys lol and on top of it all slightly cheaper than most in the local area,I pass 2 chippys to get here so it is that good lol

I was recommended here by a family member and I was not disappointed. The fish batter was crispy and fresh, the fish itself was plentiful, white, with really big chunks. The chips were tasty, new and crisp. Curry was good too. Really enjoyed my meal and will be back again. I also appreciated the pretty Begonias plants outside :).
