Always seems too full in here, and you can sometimes wait ages for a drink... needs some thought on busy Cas match days too... the place was very busy yet people were still trying to get through crowds with push chairs... ?? Not saying dont have em in before the moral police attack me, just think about how to manage that better. Food and beverage prices are always cheap which is a bonus... will, of course, go again

Tasty hot food at a very affordable price. Good town centre pub, but the upholstery is getting tired. Not surprising with the number of people going there.

The chicken burger was soggy the bread bun was hard around the edges and the chips were dry as if they were days old and been warmed up. The table was dirty with no menus on and it took 3 polite attempts to get the waitresses attention even though 2 were just stood in the hatch. The wine was ok and bar person was very good

Fantastic place. Good fast service and excellent value good food and drink. What more could anyone want? Other pubs and restaurants are just taking the mickey with their prices.

Went there for food at 11:50 and the tables were dirty, plates and cups left on the tables for the customers to clean because the staff are useless and the biggest insult of them all there was absolutely nothing on the menu because everything was out of stock, this place is a joke, the owner should be ashamed of himself and stop being so tight!! I think 1 star is being generous!!

What is there to say, it's a typical Spoons. The toilets are the usual trek from the bar. The food is absolutely standard pub grub but you at least know what to expect. What other chain of pubs could you go to at 9.45am and find it full of the retired and unemployed downing pints of lager.A British institution.

A good pub. Was busy on the Saturday we visited. We were on a bit of s mammoth 35 mile canal walk and this "Spoons" was a very welcome half-way pit stop. A typical Wetherspoons but we did comment that the staff were especially friendly and efficient. Food was if usual quality and there was a beer garden to the rest.
