Kebab Grill in Wakefield

Went for our daughters birthday. Very busy so glad we had booked. The food was amazing and plentiful, large portions. The staff were polite and friendly. My 5yr old granddaughter had the prawn starter which was very large for her but she left an empty plate. Can highly recommend Sofra for its wonderful food.

Visited here on a Friday night, it was very busy and we hadn't booked but we're able to get a table. I chose prawn cocktail as a starter and it was the best that I have ever tasted, and I have had many! My husband's garlic mushrooms were delicious but could have been a tad hotter. We were both equally impressed with our mains of chicken casserole and mixed kebabs. Our only criticism was that the noise level was quite high but this is not uncommon, most restaurants seem to be noisy but it didn't spoil our experience.

Nicely decorated restaurant, good atmosphere and in-house belly dancing entertainment was a good show. The let down for me was the portion size, for the price they charged. £14 for 8 cubes of chicken, some rice, dip and half a tortilla wrap i thought was quite expensive for what you got on the plate. I didn't tip (which is not like me) as unfortunately the wait staff were not very friendly and really just due to the value for money.

We had a joint sixtieth and twentieth birthday party here. The food was absolutely fabulous. So tasty and so much choice and big portions.The staff are really kind and helpful and could not do enough to make the evening special.The atmosphere in the restaurant is amazing.This really is a fantastic place to go to and very reasonably priced

Went for a meal on Saturday night with a couple of friends. The food was delicious and the staff extremely friendly. I was so sad to hear the table next to use refuse to pay for their food as they had been kept waiting. I had heard the waiter offer them a free drink earlier to which they refused because their obvious agenda was to get the meal for free. We left a nice tip because I felt so sorry for the staff. We will definitely be back as the food was gorgeous and so what if they are busy and you have to wait a bit. Part of going out is to socialise not rush your food. They were in no hurry to leave as they decided to go sit with another table. Disgraceful behaviour after what these restaurants have been through with Covid we should be supporting them not asking for freebies.

Amazing food and atmosphere. Would have been 5 stars if we weren't stuck in the middle of the floor and had people knocking past us. But didn't ruin the experience

3.5*. Tasty food and pleasant experience. Very nice service, although we had about 4 different waiter/waitress asking us if we had ordered drinks so communication could be improved. Every Turkish restaurant I've been to in the past has offered bread and authentic dips as a complimentary starter, not sure why this was any different - would've been the cherry on top as the main meal didn't fill me to the top. Would eat here again though. Thank you :)

Simple really when you think its just grilled meat, some salad bits and bread but the execution is brilliant. The flavour profiles are just what you want and the plate is dry one you finish (so easy to buy cheap meat and fill the plate with grease so the lack of grease signals all good things!). Portion sizes look smallish but honestly couldn't finish it all.TeamVery friendly staff. The guys this evening couldn't do enough for us. Quick service and all very happy and jovial. The chef even happy to pose behind his grill.OverallA solid place to enjoy a meal out. It isn't gourmet but it is high quality Turkish food 👌
